if it was purchased back in 2003 chances are that it is not digital TV ready and you would need to purchase a converter box.

Call 1800 remote and order the Original remote for that set.

you could try connecting the ps2 and see if it will swith to av automatically.usally these telly/dvd units toggle between tv,av,and dvd.if this fails,grab a rf converter unit from a ps1,connect this to the aerial socket and tune it in to a spare channel.guaranteed to work!!!.hope this helps,regards,steve.

if you take the remote control apart,look for any signs of spillage ingress.very common,especially if you have kids.thoroghly wash the large area with the black tracks,the rubber keypad too,and dry all gently with a hairdrier for twenty mins or so.fixed.other common problems may inlude a broken lead on the yellow or blue resonator,or on the infra red transmitter diode,.its top centre of the board.failing this try grandata,based in wembley,middesex.they are online.hope any or some of this helps,regards,steve.

dry joints on the field output ic is a fairly common problem with these.if a firm slap changes things,a simple resoldering job does the trick.resoldering is usually the cure ir the fault was intermittent.otherwise the ic may need to be replaced.cheap as chips,so to speak.hope this helps,steve.

Send the TV out for service. The TV tech should be able to replace the broken connector for you.

These tv's usually have a customer service number on sticker on the tv. Give it a try.

well, sometimes the universal remote does not give you the whole functions, so it is better to work with the original one. you could fix it thought. here is how. most of the time, it just need cleaning. so get some denatured alcohol and clean the pc. do not apply any alcohol to the rubber button, that will ruin them. put it back together and give it a try again..good luck

assuming you have un plugged the set to re set shutdown circuit you might check all zener diode's around power supply pay attention to 9v supply these tend to open after power problems.

You need the original remote to access the menu system in your set. Most all the TV's on the market are like that.

If the set was good before, and is now having pin distortion, this is a failure in the pin amp section. It is not an adjustment.Your set is uPC controled, and any change in performance is due to something defective. The uPC system will keep your set adjusted properly. When it can no longer do this, then there is a fault condition.

A TV service tech who is familiar with your set should be able to fix this for you. There will be a number of small components that have to be changed in order to make the set work properly again.

The dealer where you bought the set shoud be able to answer this question. They should be familiar with the local stations in your area.

If you were to call any of the local TV stations in your area, they may be able to advise you of who in your area is selling these converters if you do not want to go back to where you bought your set.

In the long term, you would be better off with a cable or satellite service for your set.

Bad electrolytic cap(s) in vertical deflection section.

You should contact your cable or satellite service company for that!

It is very common in many sets of this type that the electrolytic capacitors in the vertical deflection amp section start to go high in their ESR values.

An experienced TV tech can determine the defective capacitors and change them for you.

You will have to order the original remote to do what you want!

Go back to the store where you bought the set and see if they will order you a new remote.
