Is it possible to purches a remote control for an
You first need to see if Orion is still in business. I used to see some of their vcr's in my shop. I have been out of the business for a few years now. As for a universal remote working I am sure you will be able to find one that will at least work some of the functions. There is a company named MCM Electronics that you can get in touch with and I am sure they Will be able to help you find something. Their number is 1-800-543-4330. Good luck.

You'd get a quicker solution by including brand name and model number. Meantime, I suggest checking the manual. If you don't have it, look online at the company's website. I'm no tv expert, believe me, but I've learned product manuals are meant to be kept (and I don't mean in a box in a garage). I keep mine in my tv's armoire, along with my dvd player's manual, and they've really helped me (usually more than the company's tech service). Call them. They won't charge you for a question like this; you'll find the number on their website. Good luck!
Remote will not turn on TV set, nor change
Assuming it's not hooked up to cable box, some remotes have settings for tv, audio, etc., so check setting on remote to make sure it's set on "tv." (The obvious things are working batteries in right position inside remote.) You can also try resetting the tv, if there's a reset button on the back of set. Good luck!

Model tv 37094 i cant find a code for this model i
Hello,
here is the code for your TV: Orion 0549. Note that if the 4 digit code does not work, add prefix 1 to the code. e.g 10549.
To program the remote control unit using a 4 digit code:
1 Turn your TV on.
2 Press TV on your Sky remote control handset.
3 Hold down SELECT and the RED button together for about 2 seconds, until the red light on the Sky remote control flashes twice.
4 Press TV on the remote again.
5 Type in the 4 digit code for your TV. The LED on the remote should
flash twice. If the LED only flashes once, recheck the code for your
brand of TV and start again at Step 1.
6 Press STANDBY, and your TV should turn off. If it doesn't, switch
off, press TV, then press the STANDBY button. Repeat this (press TV,
then STANDBY) until your TV turns off, then press SELECT.
NOTE: If the LED on the Sky remote control flashes 3 times then all
internal codes for that make of receiver have been checked. Repeat from
step 1, ensuring that you enter the correct manufacturer code.
7 You should see the TV Guide screen. When you do, the remote control
set-up process is complete. If you do not see the TV Guide screen, you
must now complete the following steps.
8 Press TV on the remote control.
9 Hold down SELECT and the GREEN button together for about two seconds,
until the red light on the Sky remote control flashes twice.
10 Key in the number of the channel on your TV that you use for watching satellite TV.
11 Press SELECT on your remote control. The red light flashes twice. The remote control setup process is complete.
Good luck.
Tv keeps shutting down
This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc.
Go to the source of your cable signal connector .
Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires.

Get some Freeze spray, next time it faults, start spraying components, the one that when sprayed, returns the set to normal, well there is your "Faulty" but, now you must find out WHY that component "Heated Up" did it spontaneously fail? Or is some other component "Take it out", you must then go to the Power Supply, and check all Voltages. You will need a service manual to do that. Intermittent faults are a vane to us Engineers, they are the WORST, fault to sort of have,.. It is always better, if a "Fault" is "Hard On" at least you have a point to work from, but intermittent ones are real hard...I have been doing this for over 30 years and some still stump me, and I am still learning..
