Htc Reset

The HTC Desire has a built in function that allows you to reset it back to the settings it came with, direct from the factory. This does wipe all the data on the device, including contacts, apps, pictures and videos, but is sometimes good as a last resort. It's very easy to do, and if you're device is playing up or you've got some bugs on it, this is the perfect way to get it back in its original working order. Here is how it's done:
  1. Turn the power off. If your HTC Desire is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
  2. Hold the Volume Down button
  3. Press and release the Power button
  4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
  5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
  6. Press and release the Power button
  7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO
If you selected YES, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the HTC Desire. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.

My htc desires camera has stopped working. If I go

The Desire has had this problem for a while. It is usually a "rigid flex" connector loosened inside,
if you are under warranty, phone them and send it back for repair. I'm not sure what the cost would be if not under warranty.Couldn't be too much, although they will tell you when you phone them. They are at least very good with phone service.
