If i am driveing a screw, when i get the screw
The drill/screwdriver has a torque clutch that opens at a torque you set with the dial around the chuck. When you exceed the torque, it will make a grinding sound. That is perfectely normal You can turn up the available torque from 1 to 24. The torque limiter is a very handy thing at times, mainly for driving smaller screws. If the clutch slips at the max setting, you are overloading the drill.
Cant seem to drill into
You should be able to drill at a low speed. Maybe 100-200 rpm. I assume the bit is sharp. I have run into an ocassional new bit that is bad. If it suddenly stops drilling you may have hit a rock. Crack the rock with a center punch then continue drilling.
Battery will not hold a charge
If the battery is one year old, it is shot. I have about 20 batteries under the bench and about 5 cordless drills , saws, lights, you name it , I won't buy anymore. I have a bunch of them, the batteries don't last. It is cheaper to buy a new kit with new batteries than to replace the batteries. No more.
