TREADMILL KICKS ON AT VERY HIGH SPEED OVER THE 12

please RUN the software calibration for easy diagnostic, and fix it.go under the HOOD motor and see the steps. However see the steps. The Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration:
  1. Locate the calibration area on the rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center, that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not have a screw in it.)
  2. Insert a pencil (eraser end), into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click when pressed).
  3. Press the button 2 times (with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11 in the console, the second click should show CL21.
  4. If the process was done correctly, and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons on the console and observing settings. This will not require any other tools.
  5. Press ENTER. CL22 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  6. Press ENTER. CL23 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  7. Press ENTER. CL24 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  8. Press ENTER. CL25 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
  9. Press ENTER. CL26 should display in the TIME window. You should then see the letter "E."
  10. Press ENTER. You should see "SS" or "55" in the console.
  11. Push the STOP/START button. For safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the treadmill.
  12. Push the ENTER button. The walking belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on its own.
  13. When the belt stops, the incline should self test by raising to its highest incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest position.
  14. Once the incline test is complete, push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the console should go completely blank. If this happens, the treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.
If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared in). Troubleshooting the failure would be the next step.

No power to console

Check this first:If the console takesbatteries, replace them. If this does not work or your console does not requirebatteries, check the reed switch or optic sensor. Reed Switch:Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor hood cover. The reed switch is mountedon the frame next to the front roller pulley. There is a magnet glued into thefront roller pulley. When adjusting the reed switch, make sure it is pointingdirectly at the magnet. Move the tip of the reed switch within 1/8" of themagnet. Also, check to see that the wire is not damaged, and is connected tothe console. 3er Step: tight the keypanel vs display board and then tight the display board vs lower board(main motor controller board) 12_2_2011_3_48_47_pm.gifGood luck, sincerely. A2550 motor belt still slipping after replacing

Harvey, there are problems with the front plastic pully slipping on the metal drive roller. It appears that the drive belt is slipping. Just make sure that you rule the pully out first. If after that the pully stops with the front roller and the walk belt, there are only Two different drive belts used, double check the part number. Usually I use a ratcheting strap to pull the drive motor up to the bracket, because the belt is so tight there is no other way to get the motor close enough to the bracket to get the 3/8" bolts to even start into the motor. If you did not severly struggle to install the new drive belt, chances are its the wrong one.Matt If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/matt_8dbc24bf722649ac

What lubricate do i use

The walk belt should not be "griping", Are you sure that The roller may be stopping and starting? Hard to tell with out watching with the hood off. You will need to check the front pully where it is pressed on the metal tube that is the front roller. The pully looses its grip on the metal tube, and it starts griping then slips and grips again. I believe that is what you are feeling. The repair is to repalce the front roller. Hope this helps, let me knowMatt If you need further help, I’m available over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/matt_8dbc24bf722649ac

While using my Nordictrack a2550

if it really is the walking belt that is slipping keep tightening the adjustment screws till the belt will not slip when you try to stop it ( set speed to about 3 and then with your foot try to stop belt from spinning - you should be able to make the motor and whole machine come to a stop ) make sure it is really walk belt spinning and it isnt the motor belt slipping. (if it is motor belt slipping when you try to do the stop the belt trick i just described you will see the walk belt and front roller stop but still hear the motor turning) once you get walk belt tight enough so it doesnt slip then you can worry about keeping the belt centered.

let me know if you need more help on this and let me know how the stop the belt test went

good luck!

Just bought a Nordictrack a2550

Do you know if you are tightening it correctly?
Both bolts at the back of the walking belt should be turned clockwise to tighten the belt. You must also tighten the bolts the same amount and typically no more than 1/2 turns at a time. I usually adjust belts while the machine is running at approx 3 mph. Your belt should be just tight enough to not slip when you walk on it. If its too tight you'll wear out the motor bearings.

Cant fit it through the door to move to another

Only 3 choices:

1 - leave it in place

2 - Take it partially apart so it will fit through the door

3 - Widen the door frame.

Since the treadmill got into the room, it should be able to get out. Most likely #2 is the option for you.

Just purchased the nordic track 2550 pro treadmill

Hello,

You do not need to lubricate the belt, unless you speek with or read something from Nordic trac. Oiling wont hurt anything, but is not needed.
