I have a C956 treadmill. I am getting error code

Precor Error 44, Un-commanded Lift Motion Probable Cause 1. Intermittent or bad connection in the lift position sensor(potentiometer). 2. Lift position sensor (potentiometer) is bad. 3. Lower PCA is bad. Corrective Action
  1. Bad or intermittent connection of the lift position sensor (potentiometer) is the most common cause of the error 44. Inspect all wiring and connections related to the lift position sensor (potentiometer). Repair or replace wiring connections as necessary.
  2. Monitor the lift position number displayed while operating the lift in diagnostics mode. If the reading makes large changes or is erratic, the lift position sensor (potentiometer) is likely bad. Replace the lift position sensor (potentiometer) or lift motor if the lift position sensor (potentiometer) is internal to the lift motor.
  3. If the lift moves without any command entered either manually or through a program, replace the lower PCA.

Precor Treadmill C956 error 21

Precor Error Code 21 Error Code: 21 Manufacturer: Precor Model: All Models Error Description: Error 21, Too many Consecutive Power Requests- The error 21 observes a treadmill's power bit reading when the treadmill was operating at speeds above 1 mph. Power bits indicate the relative time that the motor controller drive circuit is turned on. Power bits is an indication of the amount of power the load is demanding from the motor controller. Error 21 indicates that at a speed greater than 1 mph, an excessive amount of power is being demanded from the motor controller. Possible Reason:
  1. A badly worn deck and/or running belt can cause the error to appear when the unit is in use.
  2. Badly worn drive motor brushes may not be making proper contact with the drive motor commutator causing the error to occur when the unit is in use. The unit may also slow down or become sluggish when the load or speed is increased.
  3. A jumper may be required on the lower PCA if installed into a 120 VAC (Version 2) treadmill.
  4. A leaky or shorted drive motor filter capacitor (on units equipped with SCR motor controller) could increase the current demand enough to cause the error.
  5. A leaky or shorted drive motor inductor (on units equipped with SCR motor controller) could increase the current demand enough to cause the error.
  6. The high power demand is caused by a shorted or de-magnetized drive motor.
Recommended Action:
  1. Determine the amount of AC input current being drawn by the unit under no load and loaded conditions using a clamp on AC ammeter. The current displayed can be used to determine the condition of the deck and/or running belt. These same readings should be taken on a like unit, in good operating condition with a know good deck and running belt. The readings from the unit in good operationg condition can be used as the benchmark. Compare readings and replace* the deck and/or running belt if necessary. *Some units have a reversible deck. Be sure if the deck is being flipped or replaced, a new belt is installed on the new deck surface.*
  2. Inspect and repalce both drive motor brushes if necessary.
  3. Inspect the lower PCA (if unit is 120 VAC/ Version 2) for jumper. If jumper is not installed, error typically appears between 7 mph & 8 mph. Install jumper if necessary. CAUTION - DO NOT install jumper if unit is 240 VAC. Installing the jumper on a 240 VAC unit will casue the lower PCA to fail.
  4. Measure the AC input current without a load using a clamp on AC ammeter. Electrically isolate the filter capacitor from the drive motor circuit. The drive motor leads need be kept intact so the drive motor will operate with the filter capacitor removed from the circuit. Re-measure the no load AC input. If the AC input current is significantly lower, replace the filter capacitor.
  5. Measure the AC input current without a load using a clamp on AC ammeter. Electrically isolate the inductor from the drive motor circuit. The drive motor leads need be kept intact so the drive motor will operate with the inductor removed from the circuit. Re-measure the no load AC input. If the AC input current is significantly lower, replace the inductor.
  6. Swap the existing drive motor with a known good drive motor.

What does Err26 mean?

Precor Error Code 26 Error Code: 26 Manufacturer: Precor Model: All Models Error Description: Error 26, Motor Pulse Width Incorrect - Observation of the speed sensor signal and verification the signal from the speed sensor is appropriate for the requested speed. If an incorrect or erratic speed sensor signal is detected the error appears. Possible Reason:
  1. The line of sight between the speed sensor and the speed sensor target is obstructed.
  2. Incorrect gap between the speed sensor and the speed sensor target.
  3. Incorrect adjustment of the speed sensor potentiometer (when equipped).
  4. Damaged speed sensor target.
Recommended Action:
  1. Using a static safe vacuum cleaner, carefully vacuum out the drive motor compartment. Be sure to thoroughly clean the area between the speed sensor and the speed sensor target.
  2. Inspect the gap of the speed sensor to the speed sensor target. Proper gap is 3/16" and the speed sensor photo eye should be aimed at the larger portion of the targets wedge shaped section. If unit has a magnetic speed sensor, the gap between the end of the sensor and the flywheel tooth needs to be 3/16".
  3. Locate the speed sensor potentiometer (when equipped) on the lower PCA. Set the speed sensor potentiometer to mid-range. Start the treadmill and increase speed to 6 mph. Carefully adjust the speed sensor potentiometer until the treadmill is operating the smoothest. Increase the speed to full speed and again adjust the speed sensor potentiometer until the treadmill is operating the smoothest. These two adjustments are typically small and are generally only a matter of fine tuning.
  4. Inspect the speed sensor target for any scratches or tears that could cause incorrect readings. Replace the speed sensor target if necessary.

Machine is showing error 30

Precor Error 30, 31, 32 and 33, Communications Error Probable Cause 1. Bad interconnect cable between upper PCA and lower PCA. 2. Interconnect cable is mistakenly plugged into the CSAFE connector at the upper PCA. 3. Elliptical 5.17 equipped with old software version 1.01 in upper and lower PCA. 4. Upper and lower PCAs have mismatched software. 5. Another component plugged onto the PCA is overloading the +5VDC power supply. 6. Bad lower PCA. 7. Bad upper PCA. Corrective Action
  1. Test unit with a know good interconnect cable or test the interconnect cable for continuity. Replace interconnect cable if necessary.
  2. Disconnect the interconnect cable from the CSAFE connector and attach to the proper position on the upper PCA.3.
  3. Replace the upper and lower software of the 5.17 elliptical with the most current versions.4.
  4. If one of the PCAs is found to have software version 1.01, replace it with the most current software version.
  5. Disconnect all components from the upper and lower PCA leaving the data cable connecting between the upper and lower PCAs and the AC power going to the lower PCA. If the unit shows any error other than the error 3x, reconnect components one at a time. Reset power between each newly connected component until the error 3x reappears. Whichever component was last connected when the error 3x reappears, is the cause for the error. Replace the faulty component.
  6. Test unit with a known good lower PCA. Replace the lower PCA if necessary.
  7. Test unit with a known good upper PCA. Replace the upper PCA if necessary.

My precor 100I AMT elliptical keeps resetting when you slow down. Anybody know what's causing this?

Check RPM Feedback: The most common cause for the timer to stop after 7 seconds on a Precor elliptical is NO RPM feedback. Start by checking the connection of the speed sensor to the lower board. If necessary, reset the connection. Also, inspect the magnet located on the user's right crank arm (versions 1 and 2) or the user's left crank arm (version 3). The magnet passes the speed sensor with each revolution of the crank arm. Ensure that the magnet is installed correctly, with its south pole facing the speed sensor. You can verify the magnet polarity using another magnet or a compass. Speed Sensor Spacing: Confirm that the spacing between the speed sensor and the magnet is within the range of 1/8" to 1/4". Adjust if necessary. Battery and Power: If your elliptical has a battery, check its status. A low battery could cause issues. Consider using the optional power adapter kit to ensure consistent power supply. Error Codes and Clearing Logs: Check for any error codes displayed on the console. Clear the error codes and power down the unit. Inspect cable connections to ensure they are fully seated. Power on the unit and monitor the error code log for any reoccurrence. Professional Assistance: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to professional repair services or contacting Precor support for further assistance.

My precor efx556 does not detect pedaling, how can i fix it?

hello there, check if the lift control system is detected the lift is moving in the opposite direction of the issued lift command. This error would happen when the lift was already in motion (typically downward) when a lift command in the opposite direction (lift upward) was issued.

Precor 556i / AXGE....Problema with the resistance. Can anybody help me?

Hey Fabian, it's possible that the resistance motor or sensors on your wife's Precor 556i/AXGE may need to be recalibrated. Try powering off the machine, unplugging it for a minute, and then plugging it back in to see if that resets the calibration. If the problem persists, you can try recalibrating the machine manually. There should be instructions in the user manual or online. If that doesn't work, then contacting customer service or a certified technician may be necessary. I hope this helps!

Precor 9.45 reset safety switch message wont go away

If you have checked the safety switch on your Precor 9.45 treadmill and everything seems to be intact, and the "reset safety switch" message still won't go away, it's possible that the switch itself is faulty or the console is not receiving the signal from the switch. You can try cleaning the switch and the area around it, and also check the wires that connect the switch to the console to make sure they are not damaged. If the switch or wires appear to be damaged, they may need to be replaced. If cleaning and checking the switch and wires doesn't resolve the issue, it's recommended that you contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair technician to further diagnose and fix the problem. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or suggest other possible solutions.

I have a Precor TRM211 treadmill. Trouble with the console display.

This is an error code for 1 of 2 things. Something was spilt on the display causing a detected malfunction. Or, you are experiencing a power sag where the unit is plugged in. Try an isolated AC circuit. (Nothing else is ON or plugged in)

Precor treadmill making squeaking noise when running fast

Two likely candidates: Belt or tread. Lubricating the tread would be the easiest starting point; but if you're running at 7 or more you've probably already thought of that. If the cover isn't too difficult to remove, you can expose the drive belt and the squeaking volume change would be an indicator that the drive belt is the problem.
