hi it is possible that the exposure lamp has blown,or that the thermistor of the lamp is faulty.

CA1 indicates the polygon motor abnormality in laser unit.
Well, u can take out the laser unit by removing the paper tray, toner, power supply and u will see the
laser unit.
Normally, if no connectors issue, then then only choice u have is to replace the laser unit.

Exposure lamp Cable,or transfer corona.Is the expo lamp lighting??? if no there is posible three options
-exposure lamp cable
-exposure lamp
-thermo fuse

You have a bad fuser.

replace laser unit upgrade firmware goodluck

press the clear/stop button and the 8 key at the same time and a code will be displayed.. try that

the START button might be faulty resulting no response.

Try check your paper, see whether loaded properly or not.

If yes, probably u need to adjusting your casette

you need service technicien to maintenance your copier, because it is full with used toner.

Dear sir; I try my best to descript for you, corona wire have two, one we call charge corona wire it located above the drum,when you open the door you will see the toner cartridge on the bottom left corner of the toner ctg you will find a 1" squar blue plastic push up and pull out. the another one we call discharge corona wire, it located right under the drum unit, open the door lift up the **** shellon the bottom middle with a red plastic head, you have to remove waste toner bottle and then you can see a screw loose it ,lift up and remove the unit,you can use Q-tip withrubbing alcohol to clean it, hope you can find it. need help? Well there is not to many things thst would cause that problem,try cleaning the corona wires ,all the mirrors,and check the upper fuser roller.

Turn it on holding down 0 and 8. Key in 89, press start. press 0, press start. Turn it off and on.

The codes are good for several models.

Check the corona wires.

Did you replace the cleanerblade?

Power off the machine, switch on while pressing 0 & 8, enter 200, then press the start button, the machine will run for about three minutes to adjust the Toner sensor. The machine will stop, press the interupt button to save the setting, switch off and then on.

If the older techies is reading this, please help to confirm.

Your machine is old analague and a few years old now.It should be no problem changing.If your exposure settings are out it may be drum wear but more often or not all mirrors needing good clean.
Off top of head....M/c off..hold down 0and 8 numerics and power on...AD or AJ on display.punch in 15 and press print..... should read 00 on display... punch in01 and press green print button..press 09 and m/c ready to go if not switch off and on.
If unhappy with auto expose or manual middle expose...0+5 power on...AD or AJ on display,punch in 0+1 then print key opens exposure....pressing 1 increases light each press,,,try poss.10 times and print after to load.. and 7 decreases light to darken then print to change value. 0+9 together will get m/c to ready please try, all the best.

Would you say that the bottom half is Ghosting? if so then the fuser hot roller teflon has worn and will need replacing.

If not please check the optical mirrors (Do not remove them only remove the top glass) for dust.

Sorry cannot be anymore help as you may possibly need a engineer call out.
