first, how old is this unit? according to this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Yamaha_products#Electone_(electronic_organs) they were built between 1983-1988. Does it ever turn off? The PSRE313 uses a rubber on/off switch with a carbon dot on the underside that does wear out. If all is working well I would suggest replacing this rubber switch part number WD893400

maybe this will help ...... I have a Korg M1 ..... it has a small button battery for maintaining memory and sounds .... mine lasted about 10 years ...... I looked up in Google how to change the battery .... I looked up in my M1 instructions how to reload the sounds .... I had lost all my synth sounds except the basic piano ...... I changed the battery and reloaded the sounds from a backup card I had bought years ago .... M1 works perfectly now .... you probably lost any saved songs .... contact Yamaha how to change the battery and reload the original songs .... any saved songs are gone .... next time, back them up ... good luck

Yes, an aux jack is looking for a powered input. An electric guitar is just a passive input, like a microphone. If you're interested, a solution and a great upgrade would be to get a wireless guitar input (battery powered). The wireless receiver would likely have an RCA output that would work with your receiver. Solves your preamp problem and you have a wireless guitar.

This might sound obvious but first of all I would try an older smaller flashdrive. Some large versions are not supported by certain keyboard. Try a simple midi file or similar with a smaller drive, if that works then it could either a procedural error in the way you are completing the task or that the larger drive is not supported. Hi I don't think this is anything to worry about. If you kept the batteries (or leave it connected to power adaptor) in the keyboard then this would hold the recordings, key settings in memory. When you shut down without power still being applied it flushes the memories. See page attached from manual. I hope this helps Becketts Music Ltd

I would suggest cleaning the volume pedal jack as the next step.

Models differ, but when we had a similar issue, replacing the power cord did the trick. We almost didn't check it because the lights were coming on; there must have been enough power to light the lights but not play the sound ! hope that helps!
