I have seen a couple of different things cause this... Are the fuel lines hooked up and not split and fuel filter routed right in tank.(hanging freely touching bottom of tank lying flat) next if your carb has adj. screws H &L I have seen when the H is cranked snug (lean) that primer won't work right. Last but not least your Needle inlet valve is stuck shut and or the fuel pump diaphram little tabs are not sealing off chambers in carb on fuel pump side. make sure your fuel lines are properly hooked up to the right spots. when you push primer bulb it should squirt gas into the fuel tank, then when you release it ,it should draw fuel from the tank through the filter and thru the carb and then out to tank.

Hello wesandfran, yes, that is a very common machine and you may even find the part at places like Home Depot.

You may have a dirty carburetor. this can be tough to fix as the openings are so small. Also you may have a dirty fuel filter. (often located in the gas tank) also does it have a priming bulb? Trying freash gas is always a good idea.

Try cleaning the carburetor and blow or clean jets. Then new mix and clean fuel. Start up, and probably set the idling to a little faster to start then adjust for good idle speed so it won't stall. Hope this may help.

What we normally say is good quality two stroke oil 50-1, two stroke oil from unknown manufacturers 25-1

The oil ratio is not adjusted to the engine it is the formulation of the oil. You mix your oil the way the bottle states. I have been working on 2 cycle engines since the 70's at a motorcycle, ATV and lawn & garden dealership. If you have doubts about a 50:1 oil do like I do and put 8/10ths of a gallon of gas in you jug and use a bottle of oil for a gallon and mix.

As with any brushed electric motor both brushes should be changed, it is not good practice to have different lengths of brushes.
