I think you mean 3400 RPM not 34000. The 3400 rpm electric should work if the horsepower rating is enough.

Swisher ZTR steering arm is a poor design and loosens over time which eventually causes control issues. If the steering arms flop about, the main pivot bolt needs tightened.

Also check all electrical connection in system for corrosion and tightness. Lastly With compressed air blow all dirt and debris from the mower, especially clutch area and Hydraulic pumps. Check tension on blade drive belt.
