You probally just need to kill the alge before you do anything. Nevermind the TA for now and just add about ten gallons of liquid chlorine. The alge untill you kill it will plug the filter constantly. This will give you the code on the heater and will make the pump run very hot and will hurt the plumbing by shrinking it. This will stop water flo by letting air in also it will leak water at the pump discharge.
A lot of liquid will break the alge as it is unstable, but use a lot.Once you kill the most of the alge then add probally another four gallons and now brugh the whole thing real good. now you can start running again and start with all the stuff they will sell you to adjust the PH and TA.
