Jacuzzi MAGNUM FORCE POOL PUMP 2 HP 115230V 94027120 - Page 8 Questions & Answers
Pump stops running on high speed
You have a magnetek motor and it is overheating and cycling its thermal overload. A local electric motor repair shop may be able to fix it however it will likely need to be replaced. It is to costly to repair the motor if the damage is in the windings.
Assuming at that low a horsepower it is 115V, the likely replacement motor is a catalog #BN37. We sell it for $157. You are usually better off replacing the seal when you replace the motor and most Jacuzzi pumps are either a 200 or 1000. They should be around $5.
No water circulations
If the motor is on and the water is not circulating ... your impeller may have spun the center out ...
I have a HP 1.0
First you need to find out if the motor will turn easily. There is usually a cover over the shaft opposite the pump. When you remove this cover the shaft can be turned with a wrench. If it turns easily then the start or run capacitor may be at fault. If it is hard to turn then usually the bearings are bad in which the motor needs to be replaced. You can buy a capacitor and replace the one that is there. If it runs you fixed it, If it doesn't run then the motor needs to be replaced. I hope this helps.
Sand in the pool from
It sounds like you have a sand filter with a broken lateral or hub inside the filter. Unfortunately it requires removing all the sand from the filter to find and replace the broken parts. I would put new sand, #20 silica sand, back in after you finish the repairs.
I have Magnum 1000
The seal will always run with the two ceramic sided against each other. The seal with the white ceramic will go in the rear seal plate, and the half with the black ceramic will go on the impeller with the black ceramic side facing the white ceramic in the seal plate.
I have an above ground
I think you have a air leak. A 1.5 hp motor is very strong and should vacuum well. Be careful to not over tighten the top of your pump housing.
Is your impeller in good shape? It may be worth your while to remove the pump motor from the pump. While you have it apart, replace all the seals (there is a kit for this). Inspect the impeller and all parts of the housing - any junk inside? Remove it. After you complete the rebuild, reinstall the motor, fill the pump housing with water, secure the top and start the pump.
Let me know what happens ...

I replaced a broken magnum force 1.5 HP pump with
First thing is to check the existing breaker. Make sure the screws holding the wires are tight. The breaker could be worn out. Try it on another existing breaker or just try getting a new one. The 20 amp should handle the new motor.
My Essence Echo Spa jacuzzi is giving us an error
FL stands for Flow. It is a diagnostic code that is indicating that either the the flow/pressure switch has failed, or the pump is not pumping enough water to operate the spa safely.
If it is the pump, you might try to lean out the impeller housing as its common to see a pine needle or other such blockage affecting the pump.
If its the switch, just buy another generic switch and swap it out. It would only take a few minutes.
There's a little glass jar
The pump or the filter? I believe what you are looking for is the sight glass found in the backwash port of the filter valve. If that is correct what brand is the valve and what numbers are on it if you can still read them? I should be able to get you a part number with that information or take what is left of the old one to a local pool supply store and match it up to a replacement glass. Most of the sight glasses are the same no matter whose name is on the valve.

Our jets turned on by
Hi i will need more info to tell you why they turned on. The most simple way to turn off is with the breaker. That would be in a elctrical subpanel located by the pump and equipment or sometimes all the way from the house main breaker panel. So what i need to know is this:
1. What do you have ? a above ground spa, a in ground pool and spa or a in ground spa only.
2. How do you turn all your equpment on and off like your booste(jet)pump? meaning is it a manual system with a timeclock or does it have a control system where you turn on and off from a button in the house or lastly is there like a single button located in the spa above the water line that pushes in about a half inch.
If you dont reach me back than heaR are some of the answers and solutions:
1. If you have a fancy control system where you turn your stuff on and off from the house than the majority of those have built in freeeze protection so if it sees or thinks the air temperature reches about 38 to 45 degrees than it will turn on the pumps so they move water and it doesnt freeze in pipes. Likewise actually there is a little add on to a simple timeclock operation as well that would do the same thing. IF THATS IT THAN AS SOON AS THE TEMP WENT ABOVE THAT EVERYTHING WOULD GO BACK TO NORMAL. OR IF THE AIR SENSOR IS BROKEN OR MISREADING THE ACTUAL TEMPERTAURE OF THE AIR THAN THAT WOULD GET REPLACED AND EVERTHING BACK TO NORMAL.
2. If you have a fancy control system than where the pump connects to which is called a relay could be stuck. THAN YOU WOULD JUST NEED TO REPLACE THE RELAY.
3. If you have a fancy control sytem and as part of it there is whats called a spa switch located typically by or in the spa and there either round wsith 4 push buttons or rectangle with like 8-10 buttons. WHEN PART OF THAT GOES BAD AND WATER GETS IN IT THAN IT CAN SHORT CIRCUIT AND OR MAKE FALSE3 CONTACT AND THE DEVICES IT CONTROLS WILL END UP HAVING RANDOM PHANTOM LIKE OPERATIONS THINGS TURNING ON OR OFF BY THEMSELVES. THE FIX IS EITHER DISABLE IT IF YOU DONT USE IT MUCH OR NOW ISNT A GOOD TIME FINANCIALLY OR REPLACE IT.
4. Lastly if its one of those single usually white push buttons that pushes in about half to 3/4 in. Than that is whats called a air switch and it blows a little puff of air thru a small tube behind it to a box near the pump and activates a relay there to turn it on and off. SO WHEN WATER OR CONDENSATION GETS IN THE TUBING THAN IT CAN DO THOSE SAME PHANTOM LIKE OPERATIONS I EXPLAINED IN NUMBER 3. THE FIX WOULD BE A NEW SWITCH OR PULLING THRU NEW TUBING AND CONNECTING ETC.
Good luck. This is only the second question i have answered for folks so i dont know how the website all works but if you are able to get me the info than i can pretty much pin point it for you. Merry Christmas
Pump runs no water movement
Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.
You will want to open up your pump and inspect the impeller. It is either clogged with foreign material or it has broken free from the motor shaft thereby not spinning and pumping the water even though the motor is on. Clear or replace it as necessary.
