You may need to take to a Pride dealer to plug the diagnostic unit in to check for faults. Have you got a power seat lift on the chair. When the seat is up (or not fully down) the drive speed is limited so you wont tip over. If the seat is down fully and still have problem, it could be the down micro switch needs adjusting or is faulty.

You need to have a hand held programmer that techs use or even customers. This programmer plugs into the charging socket under the joystick, turn unit on then change speed profile back to 100%. They are set back to prevent accidents for certain patients. Get online and look up Pride Mobility to buy one or have a local dealer send a tech to your location. Good Luck.

Check that the unit has the drive engaged levers near the motors in drive mode, could be on free -wheel mode. OR joystick could be locked out by mistake. If so, turn on unit hold joy stick forward until it beeps then hold in reverse until it beeps. This will unlock it OR it will lock it back again. Some units require you to turn on unit and hit the horn button twice, this will unlock or lock up unit.

can you please confirm you trying to turn the powerchair from the joystick control ?

I don't recommend going up or down steps without a ramp to drive on. Portable ramps are available from a number of sources on-line. The owners manual for this power chair is available for download from the following link:

From a pure physics standpoint... The energy to climb a hill... be it from the steep side or the gentle sloping side is the same... It is just easier on your heart and joints to take the gentle slope... (assuming you have the time). ERGO: If treating the scooter like a QUEEN is your goal... DEFINITELY GO SLOW. Tat way you will have no idea if it has any weak spots when you need it to go fast (and you will). I'm old... I don't have TIME to waste! Carnac the Magnificent

Sounds to me like the worm drive is slipping , this can happen when the worm drive small bearing is worn,

If you do take it a part , please take great care, the shaft from the motor will have a worm drive, two bearings on the worm drive,

Try to move the shaft within the bearings, I paid £10 for replacement bearings.

Maybe too late for this advice but it is important to take a detailed photograph of the wireing before unplugging anything.

Hi not much info is there a red LED & green LED on charger...or is there a red LED & orange led on ?? Bit more info would help cheers
