it sounds like you have a air leak make sure all your fitting are tight if you have a filter make sure the filter isnt clogged if that doesnt fix it it sounds like your pumps ceramics might have been damaged in the pump its self

Check the screen at the inlet, where the water hose hooks up. These get clogged often because bugs like to crawl up inside hoses and build nests. If it is not that, then you either have a problem with the valves (popet) or the unloader part of the pump. You will need to look at a parts break-down and access these for disassymbly to determine if they are damaged. Find replacement parts either in your owner's manual or Karcher web site or pressure washer dealer in the yellow pages. Good luck.
