Call hitachi service center to fix it. It may have a circuit problem or the lamp itself is deffective.

I have the CP-X275W that did the same thing. The ballast was bad and I fixed it with a $5 switching regulator. The CP-X327 has the identical ballast.

Details:

The High Intensity Discharge Metal Halide lamp suddenly failed to light up. A new lamp was installed and would not light up either. The fan ran and the lamp LED flashed after a few minutes. Voltage to the ballast module was 368VDC. The ballast did not pulse.

Ballast# PS-226-LS-210 was bad. Hitachi Part# HA01101 has been discontinued and the new part number is HA01102. It was $210USD at Vance Baldwin or $221USD at Part Solver.

The FET series (TR1,5,6,7,8,) seemed good: (drain-source resistance=5Kohm). Bought an identical projector on Ebay to do comparative multimeter measurements. Found resistance differences in IC01 (STRG6153). Swapped good part to bad projector, and it worked. This is a 5-pin Sanken brand switching regulator, US$5 at www.electronix.com. They have the STRTG6153, which is compatible, and may be better. The bad one removed from the circuit measures 15Kohm on pin 3 to pin 5 and the same 15Kohm when the probes are reversed. The good one measures 18Mohm and infinite when the probes are reversed.

what are the state of the leds on the top cover as it tries to start up, and what finally do the leds indicate when it gives up trying

Normally when a unit like this shuts down, there are indicators that will show why. Are any of the lights on or blinking when this happens? The most common cause is overheating. Is the lamp indicator RED or the temp indicator? A little more detail would be helpful here. Can you also indicate how long the unit runs before shutting down?

Try changing the lamp

Make sure you reinstall the door to the lamp, if it is installed correctly then the lamp ballast or sometimes called the lamp driver is at fault,

whats your location, The power supply is faulty, but fairly easily repaired, if you send it to me, I will sort it out

is the cooling fan working? - usually if a bulb replacement doesn't solve the problem, and it has been installed correctly, then the safety overheating cutout may be preventing the bulb from working due to a cooling problem - check the fan spins and sound healthy, check all the yents / filters are clear and if you can see the blades, see if they are particularly dirty/dusty. If the fan seems to be fine then the safety cutout itself is likely to be faulty - contact hitachi; http://www.hitachi.co.uk/service/index.jsp And they should be able to give you the details of the nearest service to you.
