Holding voltage for car radio in a workshop
Certainly a car radio with a digital tuner must have a permanently live supply to the memory. A PP3 might do the trick but it might have a limited life and prove costly. Try it and see.
Personally I would use a car battery that is no longer fit for car engine starting but good enough to run a radio. Most car-owning folk have a car battery charger tucked away somewhere to keep recharging the battery, even better a small solar panel costs little and will maintain the battery.
I fitted a "scrap" battery to my caravan several years ago and installed a £10 solar panel and the caravan light still runs fine with the same battery.

My Blaupunkt tv/dvd has sound but no picture. Is there a reset button please?
There may be several reasons why your Blaupunkt TV/DVD has sound but no picture, but there is typically no reset button that can fix the issue. Here are a few things you can try:
- Check the cables: Make sure that the cables connecting the TV and DVD player are properly plugged in and not damaged.
- Check the input: Make sure that you have selected the correct input on the TV for the DVD player. You may need to switch between inputs until you find the right one.
- Try a different DVD: If the problem only occurs with one particular DVD, then the issue may be with the disc itself. Try playing a different DVD to see if it works.
- Check the settings: Make sure that the TV settings are configured properly. For example, check the brightness, contrast, and other settings to make sure they are not causing the issue.
If none of these steps work, then the issue may be with the TV or DVD player itself. You may need to contact a professional for further assistance.

Blaupunkt no signal only on tv
If you are only having a "no signal" issue on your Blaupunkt TV, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some possible solutions:
- Check cables: Ensure the cables between the TV and the device (e.g., cable box, DVD player, etc.) are properly connected.
- Change Input: Make sure the TV is set to the correct input for the device you are trying to use.
- Restart Devices: Restart the device and the TV to see if that fixes the issue.
- Check Source: Check the source device to see if it is working properly.
- Channel Scan: Perform a channel scan on the TV to make sure it is picking up all available channels.
If none of these solutions work, you may have a hardware issue with the TV or the source device, and you may need to seek repair or replacement.

Blaupunkt tv screen blurred on righthand side for like 2 inches top to bottom. Any ideas?
A blurred screen on the right-hand side of a Blaupunkt TV for about 2 inches from top to bottom can be caused by a few different issues, such as:
- A problem with the display panel: The display panel may have become damaged or malfunctioned, causing the blur on the right-hand side of the screen.
- A problem with the T-CON board: The T-CON board controls the video signal between the main board and the display panel. If it is not working properly, it can cause the blur on the right-hand side of the screen.
- A problem with the main board: The main board controls the various functions of the TV. If it is not working properly, it can cause the blur on the right-hand side of the screen.
- A problem with the cable or connector: Damaged or loose cable or connector can cause the blur on the right-hand side of the screen.
It's best to consult the manual or a professional technician for help. They will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate course of action. Sometimes, the problem can be solved by replacing a faulty module, repairing or replacing damaged cable or connector, but in some cases the repair may be more complex and require more extensive work.
