I changed my fuel pump & fuel filter but engine sputters & stalls noticed fuel filter is not staying full of fuel. Filter is on the proper way, what could be the issue?

It sounds like you have not primed the fuel system after changing the pump and filter. You need to purge all the air out of the system to avoid the problem you have been getting. Refer to the manual as this will tell you how to do it on this model. If you don't have a manual, then you probably should not have tacked a job like this. I is always best to have manuals when you tackle repairs to equipment so as to avoid this sort of issue. If you continue to crank it and let it splutter, it may eventually purge all the air and start to run properly. Worth a try.

I have a 23hp Kawasaki on a mower that won't run without choking and then revup and down till it finally dies. I've changed the air filters. Any ideas on next step to correct?

If the mower has been in storage it is likely that the fuel has evaporated from the carburetor leaving a residue behind. This residue prohibits the fuel from reaching the fuel jets. When choking the carburetor fuel is drawn into the intake and mixing with air an except-able combustion mix is achieved allowing for short runs. Drain all the fuel from the engine and replace. Use a carberator additive that will clean the carburator. Attempt to maintain combustion by throttling the choke. If after several tryies you are not able to sustain engine running even with a paritial choke you will need to clean the carburabator. Hope this had helped? 26176327-b03ojqwqtbsecjv14p2f4cy4-2-0.jpg 26176327-b03ojqwqtbsecjv14p2f4cy4-2-2.jpg

Exmark lazer HP 19 Kawasaki 50" deck new PTO and new relays blades engage for 30 minutes then shut off engine on. After cooling will engage for 10 minutes then shut off

Engine valves need adjusting. symptoms: starts ok, runs until engine reaches max temp loses power then stops. can't restart when hot. once restarted runs for a while stops again. There is very little clerance in these valves and temperature alters the lenth by a few thou and the valve don't close fully losing compression, once cold the valves shrink back enough to create enough compression to start again.

17hp kawasaki idels fine but when you throttle up it runs wide open just put governor in

Eric, the one thing I can think of is that either your linkages are incorrect, by that I mean it sounds as if then you throttle it up, it gets stuck open... I would go over the carburetor set up and make sure that everything is correctly back in its right order.. you may also have the governor set too high, adjust it lower if it sounds as though the engine is working too hard or screaming.

New engine Kawasaki 25 hp mower engine has fuel starter engages won't start. I pour gas in carb it starts and run for few seconds what up.

Carb is not feeding gas to motor. Rebuild or replacement is mandated. If there is a switch on the gas line to the carb it has to be turned on.

My engine surges high and back to low RPM once it gets hot and keeps repeating the cycle.

Have replaced the fuel filter, air filter? Either one can cause surging. Last resort if those dont fix it, rebuild the carb. Not hard but get the correct kit.

My mower has a fh451v 15 horse Kawasaki engine and it runs funny when i put the air filter on it and its new ???

Any way you could try a filter that lets in more air? On some mowers, the long threaded bolt that holds the air filter on will actually go into the carb. Maybe it is too long?
