I had a similar problem. Mine was shutting off and also some of the buttons worked intermittently. I thought it was overheating so I bought a small fan and I even went so far as to drill holes in the cover near the motor so the fan would cool the motor better. Turns out it was the console overlay. I purchased a new one from the Treadmill Doctor since NordicTrack will only sell you the entire console, not just the overlay and they want somewhere north of $400 for it. All I had to do was remove the console cover, unplug the old console overlay, peel it off and then stick the new one on and plug it in and I've had no problem since then. It's been over 5 years now since I did this and if I recall correctly the overlay was around $100. Good luck
1) You must check the flexible cord between display board vs controller motor board, and tight very well2) Try to access to the keypanel and clean with special spray (clean contact you can find in radio schack or computer store).3) Try to Measure the +5Vdc for I.C. including EPROM, ROM, etc.4) And try again.5) Measure if the power supply to display is coming out from the Lower board or Motor controller board. If not the Motor controller is faulty. You must replace it.Use Dvoltmeter.Remember 90% aprx the Motor controller board access to the function in the display board, elevation motor, power input, etc.sincerely.
Corrine, That knob is spring loaded. You need to pull it out...Hard. Before you do this ,support the walk board/deck frame. It will be free to fall down after hou pull the storage/locking pin out. You need to pull the pin out and hold it until the walk board clears the upright. Then be carfull and lower the walk board/deck/belt. And tight the ribbon cable for keypads +connector from reed switch.Replace old batteries by new ones with alkalines and clean the contacts batteries with c. cleaner very well.God bless you
