Hi,the letters after NG refer to the affected channels - left center, right surround, etc. Do you have speakers plugged into these channels? If yes try to unplage all speakers then plage one speaker at a time,check your speakers if that dosent work for you try to factory rest your unit .

Have you tried unplugging it? If you have and it still doesn't work try resetting it, you can look up how to reset it, on google, i've had to do this before

Your receiver appears to have a digital optical input, so no converter would be needed, just an optical fiber cable (TOSLINK) between the two optical ports. However, the manual for your receiver states that several functions don't work unless there is also an analog connection. If you must have those, you can use an HDMI audio extractor. How long only you know where you are placing them? wire Commercial Electric 50 ft. 18-Gauge Stranded Speaker Wire available at Home Depot $15.31 on back of receiver will be speaker connections, chose "A: copper to red terminal silver to black terminal. back of speaker turn top on connector counter clockwise to loosen them insert Copper to red and tighten repeat for black. You will need wire strippers and they are available at Home Depot, South wire V-Notch Wire Stripper $6.70 Good Luck
