Hi Kathy, the easiest way to do this on your txsr700 would be for you to purchase Y connector which will have RCA connections on one end and a headphone jack on the other end. Connect the RCA cables to any open RCA connection other than the Phono input and then connect the headphone jack to the iPod. Please be sure that the volume is turned up a bit on the iPod. You say "The pot does not seem to be the issue." Does that mean it is ineffective or is it faultless in your estimation? The HUGE volume knob (#16 on page 8) controls volume (in the main zone), too. If your complaint involves speakers on Zone 2, the up/down arrows at #22 on page 8 apply.

It looks like there are digital inputs on the left side of the ax10 (looking from the back )that you could plug right into with RCA cable. Use zone three on the AVR and remember these are pre-amped connections so little gain will be needed. Also only audio no video can be sent. good luck Joe

Ok protect means there was a problem on the circuit, I am not there to see but please check for any bad capcitors,rails,amps ect ect if you do not know how to check this your going to need to check it into a repair shop for a eval.

make sure you have audio cables connected from your cable providers audio out to your receivers audio in on video 1 press the video 1 button you should hear the sound.

The zone 2 will only play analog sources - so  you must hook up the output from the tv/cable/dss on it's analog (RCA Jacks) into an input on the Onkyo.  You might also have to enable this output from you tv/cable/dss.

The 0-83 error indicates a problem with the firmware update. Try resetting the receiver's BIOS by following these steps2: Unplug all cables Un-Power the receiver Power the receiver Before the receiver gets into the "Enter for updating" message, press Tone + CBL/SAT + ON/STANDBY. This will show you either the volume numbers or get you into settings of the receiver's speaker configuration. Press CBL/SAT + ON/STANDBY. Hello, To test the subwoofer when the blue light is on if you apply your thumb to the end of the subwoofer cable (the end that you would plug into the receiver) there should be feedback from the sub. If there is no feedback then the sub is not working correctly. Thanks, FJD

Oknkyo SKW-791 has build in amplifier. So it can be connected through Line Out Connector of sansui amplifier. If speakers out is connected with subwoofer, the circuit board in subwoofer will be blown.

You need a RCA sub-woofer cable (analog mono) to connect between the receiver's sub-woofer Pre Out and the sub-woofer. This cable has a single RCA plug at each end of the cable.
