You shouldn't need drivers or software to access the router. Type the IP address into you web browser and you should be able to access any setting for it. My suggestions would be to talk to your provider and see if they have a newer model. That is long since a discontinued item online.

Hey, the Netopia routers do not have a default username and password. If a password is already set up, you might need to reset the router.

In order to log into the router you need to Telnet into it.
If you are using Windows XP, you can start Telnet from Start>Accessories>Communications>Telnet

if you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, Telnet is not enabled by default. You need to enable it first. You can quickly re-enable Telnet by following these steps:

Start
Control Panel
Programs And Features
Turn Windows features on or off
Check Telnet Client
Hit OK

After that you can start Telnet via Command Prompt. (or the Start menu)

then once you get into the Telnet Console, type in:
192.168.1.1

and the router interface will open up and let you chanfge settings.

Welcome to Fixya. The security can be access on the router settings page. To access the router page you need a working computer that is connected to the router. To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.1.254, the Default username is admin and the password is set by the user. You can press the reset button at the back of the router using a pen or paper clip. Just make sure that the router is on so that you can reset it to factory state. You can also refer to the manual below for more information about the network key. Please refer on page 52 of the manual. The preshared key or passphrase is the network key.

If you mean the reset button has been pushed and now the modem needs re-programing, then the modem has defaulted to its factory setting. Its IP address is now 192.168.1.254, its user name is Admin, and its password is the same as the serial number of the modem, usually found on the label on the bottom of the unit.

You can not use netopia model TER/GUSB2-N USB wireless card on your XBOX 360 due to compatibility issue's, Microsoft design XBOX to use only it's own wireless networking adoptor.

Sounds to me that you have the internal firewall enabled in the router and haven't built ports or 'pin holes' to allow your ps3 to access the network through the gateway. If you know how to navigate the router's advanced setup page then the easiest option is to set it from either of the two available options for firewall security to the third option of 'clear sailing' . This is assuming that it's not just the router itself and other devices are able to connect without problem. The Netopia 3347 doesn't allow for NAT changing from type 2 or 3 which, despite what you may read, doesn't hinder gaming or speech, unless you go deep into the provisioning and are using it for vpn or as a bridge. I hope this is understandable and can at least point you in the right direction because this is one of the absolute BEST routers ever 'given away' with ADSL service from BellSouth/AT&T.T7

unless you have wrote it down i dont think you can, you will just have to use a new code and apply it to the existing computers

If you are using wireless then you can increase speed with wireless channel type. You can also configure it with below method.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. Then click on wireless->wireless channel change it to 3 or 6 or 11 then save settings and restart router. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Welcome to Fixya. If you want to obtain the Wep Key or Network Key on your router you need to access the Wireless Settings Page. To access the router page you need a working computer that is connected to the router. To access the router page just open a browser then type 192.168.1.1. Go to the Wireless Settings Page you will see there Network Key or Passphrase. The Network Key serves as a password or security code on your network to make it secure.

Do you mean a wireless adaptor or the router ?
The router will work but the adaptor will not.

If it is the ROUTER then if you wish to give me the specific model i will dig out those steps needed.

Again if it is just a netopia wireless adaptor then that is a NO-GO

Ask your network administrator. Is it your network? If so call your internet provider, they should help you with changing your password to something you can remember.

Make sure you have connected the router directly with your computer using cross cable(provided with router).
Set your system ip address as 192.168.1.2 and gateway as 192.168.1.1, now you can try in internet explorer http://192.168.1.1

• For security purposes you must create a password for your Gateway. Enter a new password, repeat it, click the submit button
• You will ask to login again. Enter admin as your username and the newly created password
• Access the wireless settings page
• The Network Key is the Security or PIN that you need to connect wirelessly
• You can also personalize the Network Name (SSID) and the Network Key or PIN
