I have got a datamax
1)PLACE THE SENSOR IN TO THE LABEL GAP PROPERLY
2)CHECK THE SENSOR TYPE IN PRINTER(menu->media settings->sensor type)
3)PERFORM A MEDIA AUTO CALIBRATION(press and hold feed on control panel)
4)SET FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS
Datamax M-4208 shows ready but does not print
Hi,
I belive that, PC can detect the Printer and the only problem, the drivers are unabled to route the print queue and that creates a problem.
If your OS is XP/Vista/2000, try the below steps.
1.Right click on MY computer ->Properties->Hardware->Device manager.
2.You will get Device manager window popping out.
3.Scroll down to "Universal Serial BUS controllers".Click on the (+) sign.
4.Check for the "USB Composite Device" and right click on it, click Uninstall. ((IMPORTANT NOTE:WE HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, TO KNOW WHETHER IS THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, RIGHT CLICK ON USB COMPOSITE DEVICE AND PROPERTIES,look for what location says, Eg -LOCATION : Datamax M 4200)).
5.Disconnect the USB and reboot the PC.
6.Connect the USB after reboot, you will get popup "Found new hardware".Then the Drivers will be installed Automatically.
We replaced an XP PC
Have you tried a hex dump to see if it is receiving garbage that it can't interpret?
