Citizen Eco-Drive Calibre 8700 Wrist Watch - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Do not know how to
Hi, Since Citizen does not list this caliber number on their site, try another caliber number close to your model, with the same features. I've been successful with this procedure more often than not. Most setting instructions are near the front of the manual, between pages 3-9. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:
http://www.citizenwatches.com.au/instruction-manuals
Take the four-digit Calibre number from the back of the watch, enter it, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.
I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill

I'm sorry that you haven't received an answer yet.
The response rate on FixYa FREE questions is usually over 80%, but sometimes questions go un-answered when:
1. the question is unclear, incomplete, or poorly worded...
2. the question is mis-categorized - so the correct experts aren't viewing it...
3. the question requires an answer for something that cannot be explained online adequately...
4. specific training, tools, or equipment are required to avoid injury or death...
5. the Experts that are online simply don't have the resources to answer your question fully...
Please feel free to re-work your question if you feel one of these may be the reason.
Of course you are not required - but converting your question to a PAID one usually increases the reply rate as well.
Normal rates for FixYa are...

My Citizen caliber 8700 stopped after a long
Since the battery in these watches relies on exposure to sunlight, then if left in the dark the battery will eventually be exhausted. This should take about 9 months but the maker says it will revive if left in sunlight
If it doesn't, then return it to the maker.
If you look at their web site
http://www.citizenwatch.com/ and go to "technical support" and the "setting instructions", entering "E810" as per their example will allow you to download instructions for an ecodrive which explain the operation of charging etc.

How to change the date and week?
1. Pull the crown out one click.
A. Turn dial until function hand rests on "CAL"
2. Pull dial out one more click (should be all the way out)
A. hold down button "A" (top button) until the second hand completes one counter clockwise rotation (should be pointing at current month)
B. Press "A" button a second time and the Day/Leap year hand will move.
3. At this point spin the crown either backwards or forwards and watch as the Day/Leap year hand spins clockwise or counter-clockwise. The Date will adjust per each revolution.
Hope this helps as it took me using the correct movement number on the url in the previous post (for Calibre 8700 the movement number is "E870").
