Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 Bow Mount Trolling Motor with Foot Control Autopilot and Universal Sonar 2 (55 lb Thrust 54 Shaft) Questions & Answers
I have a 2006 Lowe
Hey 217,
Get a sheet of 3/16" aluminum plate that is at least twice as wide as your trolling motor mount and at least 12" longer than the mount. Secure the plate to the current deck.. align the front edge flush.
You might want to radius the edges of the plate and secure it with rounded head sheet metal screws.. This will make the mount much stronger and last!!

The wrong user manual was
Not sure of the exact model for yours, but here is a link to a website with a few free manuals:
http://www.minnkota.com.au/support/user-manuals/motor-manuals/powerdrive-v2.html
To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated. Once there click on the link to your model and then you will see contents of that Owner's Manual. You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents. You can download this free at
WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there. Good luck.

I left my minn Kota I pilot turn on will this be harmfull
Hi. I believe you are referring to a Minn Kota with i-Pilot GPS? If you forget to turn the power button off and the motor was not running (meaning the prop was not turning), your motor should be fine. Ultimately, if left on for long enough, it will drain the batteries and eventually turn off. This is not harmful for the motor.
For safety reasons (yourself and others), it's always best to disconnect the motor from the power source when not in use.
