On my casio fx-83GT PLUS calculator whenever i use the inverse cos, sine and tan function math ERROR comes up how do i fix this

The inverse cosine function is defined for arguments from -1 to +1. 6 is outside of this domain, thus the error. Do you get an error if you try the inverse cosine of 0.6, for example? If you're getting the same error for the inverse tangent, could you post an example?

My calculator won't give me the correct average.

You need to use parentheses to group the additions together since division has precedence over subtraction. If you enter 1.94+2.35+4.38/3 then calculator takes that to mean 1.94+2.35+(4.38/3). You need to enter it as (1.94+2.35+4.38)/3.

Logs

Are you specifying a base? If you don't specify a base the calculator will default to 10, and thus you get exactly the same thing as using the log key.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE COSINE BACK TO THE ANGLE

To get the angle from a value of the cosine, you use the arc cosine or arcosin function. It is the shifted function of the cosine key. Be careful with the units. If the calculator is configured with the degree angle unit, the value returned by the arc cosine will be in degrees. If the angle unit is the radian, the result will be in radians.

Sketching curves on a calculator

Curves drawn with the help of a graphing calculator are no mere sketches, they are a lot more accurate than a human hand will be able to draw.Unfortunately for you, the calculator you are using is no graphing calculator and thus cannot draw. However, it is able to generate a table of values which you might use to sketch curve on a sheet of graph paper.

I have a Casio FX83ES

1÷1700 expressed as a decimal is 0.000588235, which is 5.882...×10^-4. [NB not 10^4]

To convert this to a percent, remember that "per cent" means "per 100" which also means "divide by 100". To keep the answer correct, if you are dividing by 100 you must also multiply by 100.

The get the answer in percent, you must therefore multiply the previous answer by 100 to get 0.00588235 percent. (or 5.882...×10^-2 percent).
