they might have had a mini amp installed in each speaker some models of speakers have that feature to where u have to hook up power and also the regular speaker connections to the radio system basically even if you have a radio with some power then the speakers may have some type of crossover or something that makes it so if u dont have the power hooked up to them then they wont work right... but there are some speakers out there that dont do that, or it could be that if the stereo that u r using may just be that it has barely any output so it doesnt power the speakers... option 1, if it is the stereo then u will eather have to go to a car shop that sells the self powering speakers "not as cheap as regular speakers" and get those or, option 2, which consists of having to install a new stereo system with more power "remember the system hass to have a little more power than all the speakers combined together..."
The radio code is a security feature that's meant to deter theft, and it's unique to each vehicle. If you've lost your code, you'll need to contact a Nissan dealership or service center and provide proof of ownership. They should be able to help you retrieve the code. Please do not attempt to use codes from the internet as incorrect attempts may lock your radio.
First thing to do is check to make sure that the batteries are properly charged.
Second, make sure that you have a clear line-of-site to the IR transmitter. Infrared (IR) works the same way that your TVs remote control works - if the signal is blocked, then you will not hear any sound.
Third, make sure that you are in the rear seat of the vehicle when listening to the sound. The IR transmitter only transmits to the rear seat, so you will not hear any sound if you are sitting in the front seats. This is a common problem that i see.
Lastly, make sure that the heapdhones you purchased are compatible with your 2006 2007 2008 2009 or 2010 Toyota Sienna. Remember that some older models require RF headphones, not IR headphones. I checked http://www.audiovideo2go.com for compatibility before I purchased my headphones. They have a useful listing of all the headphones and models of vehicles they are compatible with.
Unfortunately, no one knows or is telling. Companies rarely state power in RMS because Peak Power is a much more impressive. 1000 watt amp, 200 watts RMS x 2 channels at 8 ohms. Look for a sticker on the unit.

'year make model' of the vehicle is needed in questions like this please?
Modern vehicle radios are controlled by the Body control Module (BCM) and are used for broadcasting warning beeps and indicator clickers. The beeps an be as innocuous as "do you know your radio is still on"? It can also be caused by your cellphone pinging local transmitters and receiving a confirmation back, or checking in for emails.
