I now have a machine with no cases. The first one to come off was the front one. The process was as follows: Remove the end plastic bit the cap over the foot. Undo all screws you can get to Unser the end cover (previously removed) there is a single screw with washer holding the front cover. Unscrew this ine. Then it takes a bit of jiggery pokery to separate all the plastic tabs. I used a wide bladed screwdriver and the two halves just split. The front half is then disconnected from the Circuit board and you are nearly there Then lift the machine from the rear casing, again it moght be necessary to jiggle quite a bit. Goog luck.

Try straight stitching on the left side and then on the right side of the foot. If it doesn't give a stitch on the left it is a sure sign that it needs to be timed.

If you are talking about being able to move the fabric freely with your hand, you need to drop the feed dogs and install a darning foot. The darning foot is just a smidgen shorter than the standard presser foot so it does not rest on the feed dogs or the needleplate. The extra space allows you to manipulate the fabric without feed dogs. ...

I need a bit more information. Was the machine working correctly before this happened? Have you checked that the threading sequence is correct and nothing is blocking the path? Is the bobbin seated and threaded correctly? Are the feed dogs clear of fluff?

sounds like it's set to a different function than what you're wanting at the time, perhaps reset, check the needle's position (mine wouldnt work because it was still in threading position)...or you have it's function set at the innappropriate speed (see panel on machine)...really dont know without seeing it, but it happened to me too once, just had to fiddle with it's speed and settings til it allowed what i was wanting to do. The foot pedal is just a variable resistor to give you speed control of the motor You say the machine is new so it will still be under warranty have a service technician check it out It could be a faulty control pedal or leads or motor

1. Adjust the bobbin tension tighter. The tension you are trying for is to be equal to the top tension. 2. The top tension should start at about four. When you are threading the top do it with the pressure foot up. 3. As you are threading the top give little tugs to check for snags. 4. When you thread the tension control make sure it goes through the tension disc. 5. After you have threaded (except needle) lower the pressure foot. 6. Give a tug to see if the thread will move without excessive resistance. 7. Thread the needle and try sewing.

Just on the inside and slightly below the hand wheel, there is a round motor, and to the left of that there is a cam that controls the feed dogs. One of these (most likely the cam) is stuck, and that's why it only sews in reverse for a short time. You might try manipulating the feed dogs manual to see if you can unstick it, but most likely you will need to get the machine serviced by a technician to fix it.
