It seems like the problematic part is "the temperaturesensor". This part is probably not working, and it cannot detect infuser oractual temperature causing you are getting warning error and flashing light. In thatcase, you need to replace the temperature sensor as per the model number. This willsolve the problem. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

My delonghi perfecta plus says

Hi,

According to your problem, the 'Close Door' message indicates the service door is open. So first make sure that the service door is closed perfectly. If the service door is closed but you get the same error again then check the infuser is inserted correctly.

Open the service door

Remove the drip tray and the grounds container and clean it. Unlock the infuser and pull it out.

Wash the infuser under running water, without using detergents.

Clean the inside of the appliance thoroughly. To remove coffee encrustations from the inside of the appliance, scrape with a plastic or wooden fork, then vacuum up the residues with a vacuum cleaner.

Replace the infuser by sliding it onto the supports and pin at the bottom, then push the PUSH symbol fully in until it clicks into place.

Then close the service door perfectly. If it doesn't solve your problem then reset the settings of the machine. It will solve your problem.

Machine is showing message `empty

Hello.

Normally, normally when you turn machine off, it should re trigger the light button to go off. Another thing to try, is unplugging machine and waiting for about 15 minutes then plugging machine back in. Of course you want to make sure when you dumped grounds, that no grounds were spilled in hole under container and that container is good and tight back in. Hope this helps, Mike

I have an ESAM 5500

If you've tried the grinding adjustment knob while the mill is in operation with no effect then the chances are that the grinder has become dulled, usually caused by a foregin object within the beans. As these blades are supposed to last the lifetime of the machine they're not available as a replacement part.

If you have the technical ability you could try stripping the machine and looking for any obvious damage to the mill.

Remove the back panel to gain access to 4 corner screws that remove both side panels. Once these have been removed you've access to 4 corner screws that hold the top of the machine. You may also need to remove the 5 screws that hold coffee container in place, 4 are visible once the coffee beans container is open, but the 5th is hidden in the middle of the adjustment knob with a black cap on top. Use small sharp screwdriver to lift the cap and remove this screw. Now you can remove the top of the machine and then the coffee container too. This exposes the mill assembly. The top of the mill is loosely sitting in the lower part of mill and should be twisted to release. If it won't move then you may have to completely remove the mill and detach motor but this is quite obvious how to do.

How do you descale the machine,as we have no

Have you ever wondered, 'how do I descale my expresso machine?' First lets us understand what is exactly is scaling. The build up of minerals inside the hot parts of your coffee machine or espresso machine is commonly called lime scale. When lime scale builds up inside the Espresso machine, it slows down the water flow, reduces the boiler capacity and can prevent your coffee machine from working properly. To keep your Espresso machine operational at full order, it is important to descale it every three months. The time intervals between descaling depend upon many factors. Quality of your water and the amount of water running through the machine are the two main factors that decide the frequency at which you should descale your Espresso machine. The more you your machine, more often should you descale it. In some cities, in conjunction with a water filter you can use your coffee machine for a year or more without descaling at all. If you use less water by drinking espressos you'll need to descale less often than if you make cappuccinos.

Descaling products are widely available from stores that sell coffeemakers and espresso machines. Be sure that the product you buy to descale your Espresso machine is intended for this specific use only. Before you descale your Espresso machine, always unplug it and make sure that it is cold. Also, never immerse the appliance in water and nor should you use abrasive cleaning products or scouring materials on any part of your Expresso machine. In case your Espresso machine does not come with a instruction guide or booklet, then use a proper citric acid based descaling solution designed for espresso machines. This should be mixed and prepared as per the instructions on the bottle or packet. Once your Espresso machine has been descaled properly you would not be left wondering, 'how do I descale my expresso machine?', treat yourself to a great cup of coffee. Some popular models of Espresso machines are Krups EA8080 Espresseria Automatic, DeLonghi Magnifica EAM3200S, Krups Nespresso CitiZ & Milk XN 7106 Fire-engine red, DeLonghi Perfecta ESAM5400, DeLonghi PrimaDonna ESAM6600, DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM4200S, DeLonghi Perfecta ESAM5500 and Magimix Nespresso Citiz M190.

WATER WAS POURED IN THE

The grinder is completely clogged with crushed coffee beans that have been clumped together by the humidity - the teeth on the rollers that were supposed to grab and smash the beans are filled and the new beans just jump around.
All you can do is to dry the mechanism with a hair dryer and then clean the teeth with a long needle. Ideally the entire mechanism will have to be removed from the unit and dried and cleaned thoroughly.

My delonghi esam5500 coffee bean grinder part is

In our case we were lucky. Grinder was blocked by the beans. This is what I have done with our Delonghi 5400. It looked fiddly but was quite simple really. I started from the back panel. Once back panel was removed I had access to 4 corner screws that remove both side panels. Now that give me access to 4 corner screws that hold top of the machine. I l also had to unscrew 5 screws that hold coffee container in place. 4 are visible once the coffee beans container is open, but the 5th is hidden in the middle of adjustment arm with a black cap on top.(adjusting how fine you grind). I used small sharp screwdriver to lift the cap. Once all are out I removed the top of the machine and then the funnely coffee container too. That exposed grinder assembly. Top of the grinder is actually loosely sitting in the lower part of grinder. Twisting it counter clock should release it I Think. Our was not budging, and I had to completely remove the grinder and detach motor but that is quite obvious too, and probably not needed. I just wasn't sure what I was doing. Our machine was out of warranty so... Would be nice if we had some schematics.
