I have same problem. MR breadmaker tests as OK for earth leakage, but blows circuit breaker when begins the heating cycle. Electrician advises that dust and/or moisture can make internal switches work poorly which leads to tripping of modern circuit breakers. He suggested taking it to service centre for a clean and test, but wasn't hopeful that this woudl cure the problem. Costs more to get things fixed than replace them nowadays!

Hi, what sometimes happens is the drive belt snaps or comes off the pulleys underneath. If your machine has a removable panel on the bottom remove that panel and let me know if the belt is broken. If it is don't throw it away. I'll need the code # off the belt to see if I have a replacement in my stock. Email me if your belt has broken.

I seriously doubt there is a belt in that unit. The unit uses direct drive through gears to turn the shaft for the paddles.

Have you tried different weight and color? Do you have your manual? If you have tried other weights etc, go to manufacturers website and check out the Trouble shooting section. Good luck.

Usually the factory does't recommend that you repair these machines yourself. and by the time you pay a technican, and shipping and handling etc. You may be better off buying a new machine on sale.

Not familiar with this machine but found this http://vintageshasta.proboards.com/thread/64 If you look / click at the high res versions of the pages it tells you; that you should hear a click of the safety valve after a short time lighting it. If the click is not heard, then the main gas safety valve will not open fully and the flame will go out. This is a sure sign that the Thermostat .burner unit needs to be replaced. See the manual pages and you;ll see what I mean. From other postings I have seen the best place to get spares for these things is on Ebay. Good Luck
