we have an eureka 4495 model and it doesnt want to pick up the dirt off the floor but the hoses are clean and the hose it self has suction and the roller and belt are ok and turn

Some blockage at the pickup or in the hose if it uses one---dirt etc being kicked back out is a clear sign of this----if it has a tube check that first, and if a head with turning brush do not miss looking for a blockage there.

This can be because you need to adjust the tension or probably the pulley is no longer aligned.
So find out if the shaft is no longer straight also if the belt requires tension.

1. Locate the filter compartment on the vacuum. It is usually located under the dirt cup or canister.
2. Remove the filter compartment cover by pressing the latch or pressing the button and pulling the cover off.
3. Take the old filter out of the compartment and discard it.
4. Place the new filter into the compartment, making sure it is properly seated.
5. Replace the filter compartment cover by aligning it with the vacuum and pressing it into place.

Nothing you have described should cause it to fail. Claim on the one year warranty irrespective of how long you have had it. What happens if you remove the hoses and turn the machine on? Does it suck from the hole in the body where the hose attaches? If it doesn't then the disc that is attached to the motor has sheared off the motor spindle. based on the price of a new one and no repair parts available, personally I would throw it away and mark it it up as lesson learned.
