Have your thermostat controller checked or replaced

they are held in by several screws on the side wall and a plugin for power always unplug unit before working on it

Had the same problem and you need to replace the main circuit board on the back lower left of the refridgerator! Cost about $125.00 for the board and comes with instrutions!

Our Amana afi2538aes is doing the same thing. Had a repairman out. He called tech support at Amana. They had him adjust the "thermistors" but it is colder than ever running at 28-30degrees in the fresh food compartment despite being set at 46 degrees. Tech support also recommended installing some sort of "ice bin seal kit to take care of the problem" according to our invoice from repairman. Repairman was told that the ice bin in the fresh food compartment puts cold air out (to keep the ice frozen) which freezes the food in the fresh food compartment. I called Amana and the rep I spoke to said he couldn't find record of this being a problem with the model but tech support told our repairman "we've had a lot of problems with this happening."

I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble.The problem lies with the main control board and the display board.One or both will be faulty and requires replacement.Though on most Amana, i have found this problem to be associated with main control board.Once replaced, it would fix the problem. You could try to unplug the refrigerator for few minutes, say 30 minutes and check if that helps to reset the control board unless replacement would be on the cards.
