You need reflash the software/firmware on the phone.

Many of us have never done the update before and it might be a little bit difficult if you are not very tech savvy. The following process can be applied to any Nokia phone which supports the software update. . 1. Backup your data - this is crucial; before you start doing anything you need to backup your phone; there are two ways:

• memory card - if you have a memory card then the process is simple; go to the Tools - Memory select Options - Backup phone memory; take out the memory card from the phone

• Nokia PC Suite - if you don't have a memory card you can use the Nokia PC Suite software to do the backup; the software comes on a CD with your phone but if you don't have it you can download it from the Nokia website (you'll need USB cable to connect your phone and pc)

2. Charge your battery - this is very important; charge your battery to the full power before starting the update process; if you run out of battery in the middle of updating you can seriously harm your phone (it probably won't even start up)
3. Download Nokia Software Updater - install the updater; this piece of software will guide you through the whole update process; you might need to unblock it in your firewall.The cd provided with phone also contain this.
4. Launch the Nokia Sofware Updater - from now on it's really simple, just follow the guide and you'll be fine; the whole updating process takes several minutes to complete, don't try to cancel it in the middle in any case, your risk damaging your phone; in my case it took about 15 minutes to complete; USB cable needed again

5. Restore your data - if you used a memory card for backup then you simply go to the Tools - Memory select Options - Restore from card; if you used Nokia PC Suite you have to connect your phone to the pc via USB cable, select Backup and Restore
Now you have your phone loaded with the newest software. If you experienced some problems with your phone performance before the update process should fix it. So go on and check it out. To make sure your phone is really updated type *#0000# when in idle screen and check the software version. Hope it helped :)

To unlock your mobile you need to get network unlock code(NUC) from current service provider via phone or go to service provider office.
 
While you get the Network unlock code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only.If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the network unlock code.

The reason your phone keeps rebooting is because there is a virus on it.

The virus can be contacted through bluetooth, usb, and from some downloads.

To stop it, you have to get the appropriate software on a computer and the cable to connect your phone to your computer and flash the phone.

After flashing your phone, it will be in good condition once again.

check with message centre number is correct or not. If it is correct you have to call your service provider for help.

My 6760 beeps loudly and shows a bright white screen with the battery in the corner when i connect it to my wall charger.

Are you plugging it into the right spot? There's a cover over the hole where you plug the wall charger into.

You might have a problem with the connections to the battery/phone. Take the battery out and have a look at the connections.

Any damage to the battery (water, dropped) it may kill it. Try buying a new battery and test it before you walk away from the store. If the second battery works, check your cable and buy a new cable.

This is a setting that has been selected where the lights 'pulse'. To get rid of this, go into

Menu > Tools > Phone Settings > General > Personalisation > Notification light

and adjust your preferred settings from there.

I have the exact same error. I called my service provider today and they gave me the message centre number, i re-entered that into my phone and it didnt work. They then advised me it was a network error. He told me to call back in a few days to see if they had fixed it. Perhaps try call your network provider as well. I'll see if mine works and get back to you.

There is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.

The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.

I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.

If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.

hi :) check your memory card is it properly detect with phone. if not,will make it keep reverting to defait setting also.

There is still some water, perhaps corrosion now, inside the phone.

The best thing to have done is to pull the battery off as soon as it happened, and take it to retailer so that they can get it dried out before damage occurred.

Since your phone is now damaged, your recourse likely will be to replace the phone using insurance / oops protection, or start carrying an extra battery.

That could be the result of someone trying to jail break the phone. The IMEI numer is a specific identification number for that specific phone and if changed will render the phone useless.

Question edited for clarity. So the phone was likely stolen in Australia and shipped to Sri Lanka for sale. For the technician to unlock it by playing with the IMEI, it must have been PUK Locked AKA a SIM Lock. To remove a normal customer set PIN Lock, you just do a hard reset which scrubs the phone clean and reloads the operating system with no lock. A PUK Lock can only be removed by the carrier that provided the phone. The technician tried the impossible task of removing an RSA 128 bit encryption lock by playing with the firmware and corrupted it. You have three choices 1. Give it back to the technician and tell him to fix his mistake 2. Send it to Nokia to have the firmware and IMEI reinstalled 3. Throw it away.
