Hi there. You`re system can not play blue rays. it`s only a DVD player. for blueray you need an BLUE RAY Player. lg.Gue.

My identical system has exactly the same problem as the one described by dipaola, above. When I insert a DVD, the DVD carriage pops back open after a few seconds. In fact, mine won't stay closed even without a DVD in it, as long as the system is set to play a DVD. I'd like an answer to the big Q - Is there anything I can do about this, or should I just find another DVD player to hook into the system?

I have a RCA DVD Home Theater System, RTD315W. The "On/Standby" light is on (displaying a blue light), no other features are working. When I press a feature buttom, the blue light goes out. System just isn't working. System haven't been exposed to water/moisture. What the problem?

I purchased the RCA Home Theater System RTD315WR less than a year ago. Just a little over a month ago, the door would not open leaving my DVD still stuck inside. Upon many attempts trying to retrieve my DVD NOTHING HAPPENS. As a matter of fact, the standbye light comes on, and when I push the button the light tunrs off completely and NOTHING happens. Since I no longer have my receipt or box, Wal-Mart would not exchange it. I am in the process of writing a letter to Wal-Mart Headquarters in hopes they will assist me in this matter.

Look like the board over heating. Please check working condition the fan. Keep far the player from wall or items that can possible close blow out of the fan. Also available home theater units avsystemparts.com

Martin, my 315 does the same thing. As a matter of fact, you don't even have to press any other button. Just wait 30 seconds and off it goes.

Well I used to use a fm transmitter, but I think there's a new way to do it now.hopes it helped

i bet t is the belt for the tray motor, mine hs the same issue, i took it apart ad found the broken belt, jut have to find the replacementif you remove the steel cover from the top of the unit you will see the disc, there is a bracket above it which can be removed with two screws and take the dvd out easily

I already encounter that problem many times...To be honest with you that kind of problem is hard to repair and it will cost a lot of money and no guarantee to fix (not sure)...
In that case I suggest you to buy the new one...That is the only way and you can save money than to repair...
But before you decide to buy try to look at the parts inside then try to check if have bulged on top capacitors..if any try to replace it...
