Remote control doesn't work

Have the remote itself first checked---most tv shops have a tester--point remote at it and press buttons and it reacts-----Many digital cameras will react on their display screen in a very dark room in the same way.If remote itself tests good the set has a receiver that takes the signal from the remote and it may be bad.

In most cases the standby light might blink with different rapidity to indicate a fault relevant to the processor. It is possible that most of these indicate that there are errors in the processing section . Since there is a possible short or leak in the circuit the output driver section can take in huge current to trip the SMPS or from advice from the micro processor. Remove the power plugs and make sure that high voltage sections are discharged of the potential stored in capacitors. Look for visible signs of leak or of busted capacitors. Look for bulged capacitors or damaged components- burnt or busted. Use a multimeter to check the continuity or shorting in components, if so detach from circuit and test . If the voltage builds up and the set power ON and then shuts up then the suspected section must be checked in detail.

The processor must have the +5 voltage to the function properly , the +B and secondary voltages also must be checked to infer the fault. Trace with caution and in running through the signal path , circuit trail.

hi,

You have to check the back light of your lcd TV. All lcd screen have a back light to illuminate the pixels. you can conform is the back light is faulty or not by watching the lcd screen nearby. Watch can you see any image (negative image) on the screen. you have to look very closely. if you see any image on the screen then the back light or the back light inverter is faulty.

first of all check all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply and back light inverter board. If available then replace these capacitors first.

You have to check the back light inverter board. Normally in lcd monitors you can see three circuit boards. power supply, mother board, and the inverter board. If available then try to replace the inverter board. There are high voltage transformers in this board. There is a chance for its winding get short. You will not get the transformer in open market. Try for the inverter board .

Have just bought an LG37LD450. Buzzing noise

Had this problem as well. Ran through a laundry list of possible solutions. Finally found that the key is to increase the backlight (Access via [Menu] [Picture] ) to 100% and the noise goes away. If this is bad for the life of the backlight, just pray the backlight burns out inside year 1 while the warranty is still valid!

Does other functions work, if it does, the more likely to have worn out carbon pad on the power button.
Testing remote control: The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera's Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera's screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals. I have a LG dvd player 5083 inserted the disc the correct way into the draw but the machine does not play the disc a very slight humming noise is heard then it spits the drawer back out

Clean the Lens: Use a DVD cleaning disc to clean the lens. If the problem persists, consider professional cleaning. Test Other Discs: Try playing different DVDs to see if the issue occurs consistently. If it's specific to one disc, that disc might be the problem. Check for Updates: Make sure your DVD player's firmware is updated. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for firmware updates. Try a Different TV: Connect your DVD player to a different TV to see if the noise disappears. If it does, the issue might be with your TV. The hum is simply the player trying to read the disc. It can't so, it spits it out. Remember that prolonged use of a malfunctioning DVD player could potentially cause damage. If the problem persists, consider seeking professional repair or replacement
