You have not mentioned the model. The important thing you must keep inmind is the current factor. If you notice on the side of the cell there will be an idication of the mA/hr. This must be as high as possible to attain the longer working hours. Usually the rechargable cells have a higher charge to disburse and the Alkaline cells can work but these are costly to replace all the time , can be kept as an emergency back up. The rechargabel cells are 1.2V and can upto 1000mA while the Alkaline cells are 1.5V and about >350mA.
So the best option is to use good quality recharable with the best recommended charger. Hope you get this right. Good day

That error means the either in reality, or the computer"Thinks" that there is NOT enough HDD space to transfer the 30 min Video, a 30 min Video, will be a large file, toy need to ensure you do actually have enough room to copy to the HDD. if this isn't the case, then your unit may have developed a problem.

This is hopefully just a ribbon cable that has come ajar a bit. You will have to disassemble the camcorder to reseat it. I've never worked on this kind of a camcorder, but just go slow, and take pictures as you disassemble it as you go (with another camera, if possible). The ribbon connectors have a thin, rectangular plastic tab on top. You can gently lift them with a very small screwdriver blade or fingernail, then reseat the connector end, and gently push it back down to lock it. If you're not sure what to do, there are youtube videos that show how. If you reseat all the connectors and still have the same problem, some other electronic component is bad, and the unit will more than likely not be worth repairing, since the cost is usually high. Get an estimate before having it repaired, often replacement is a better option (except for the very high end camcorders). Good luck, hope this helps.
Flip Camcorder Model S1240
Since you have already tried the reset then you are done, nothing else can be done to fix this issue, it is a battery problem The batteries are integrated to the internal circuit CCD board and are not replaceable. If I had the camera I would do my best to take it apart and find out what type of battery it uses and then go to eBay and find the correct cell type and replace it. But unless you are very mechanically minded I would not recommend the trouble.
Flip camera keeps shutting off
check the batteries, if its not that, then make sure it dry on the inside, and if its still causing issues then some of the capacitors in it have gone bad and need to be replaced (cheaper to get a new flip due to surface mounting of components)
