You should only need to connect the red yellow and white wires to the TV. Make sure your TV is set to the aux input/video input. Sometimes this is a channel, sometimes you have to change the video source. There might be a dedicated button on your remote for this. I believe your TV is only standard definition (non HD).

I have one of this tv model too.Just used a RCA component cables like Y,R,W hook one side to the tv Video IN INPUT holes and the VCR the other end of the cable to VCR Video OUT INPUT holes.Now just pushes a channel manual button up or down a couples for the tv go into VIDEO Mode.Play the dvd player it will work.Or try Remotes.com to buy a tv original remote.Return the universal remote.

Its probably something internal. Mostly its cheaper to just buy a new tv maybe off craigs list or something. You can take to a repair guy just look in the phone book and call try to find a private business it will save you time and money.

If you have a Walmart or K-Mart close by, grab one of the All In One remotes. They'll program to control the TV.

In that case the model of the tv has no importance, all that counts is the type and model of the converter box and the type and profile of the missing channels.
Without knowing more all i can say is that those channels are probably coded in a format your converter box can't or won't support - like when you need to have a special decoder and an decoding card to view them.

No,all CRT tube tvs don't have digital tuner inside.They're analog tvs.Must buy the converter box,and hook it up to get the free DTV airwave signal.Trust me,i help an elderly person hook up this exact this tv model with a converter box.Try buy the RCA model converter box,it matches with this tv model very well.

You'll need a digital cable box for that, I'm afraid. The analog tuner in the set isn't compatible with the digital cable signal. The cable company in my city just dropped their analog service. Now you either need a digital converter box, or a "cable box lite" called a digital transport adapter. For digital off-the-air broadcasting you need a digital tuner and probably an amplified or outdoor antenna. The analog TV is rapidly becoming pretty useless except as a display device as analog channels disappear.

Press menu on the remote and search for programing and you should see choices for receiving air channels or cable. Keep trying..and then go ahead and prees auto or search programing.
