This laptop is so old sony don't list it and will not support drivers

Sounds like bad/wrong RAM ... Does is send a simple audible bleep code ? What happens if you re-instal the old RAM ?

Could you explain a bit better what you mean with jumping? It can be just a wrong resolution setting. If you are in a PC right click on your desktop and choose "change resolution" or something similar to it. then just try diferent resolutions and see if this solves the problem. On a mac go to "system preferences" and then choose "displays"

Hi This appears to be a desktop machine, and most motherboards use a CR2032 type coin style battery. If you can get the battery off the motherboard being careful not to damage any part of the motherboard then the type and voltage of the battery is usually engraved on the metal case. If this not the case then compare the physical dimensions - very carefully - between your battery and a CR2032 and if they correspond try the CR2032 before looking elsewhere. Cheers

Go to My Computer and then right click on the drive and click FORMAT. This will erase Everything on your hard drive. You will have to reinstall windows XP operating system with your cdrom.
