Frigidaire FAD704TDD Dehumidifier Questions & Answers
I am not sure of the exact model number, but the
The problem is that the hose connection tube that the hose is connected to, is clogged. That's the reason water was going to the bucket and the full bucket sensor was shutting the unit OFF
To unclog the tube, you will need an 18" long Plastic Zip Tie or something similar (NO Wire Coat Hangers, though) that is appropriately sized to fit into the hole. Before doing anything, Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit.
Carefully insert the Zip Tie into the hose connection hole/tubing and continue to gently push it in, until it reaches the bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work past this bend, until it bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Now, slowly remove it, while rotating it. This will dislodge the clog. As the Zip Tie is almost totally removed, be prepared for some water to follow.
The above should solve your problem. Will you still need the wiring schematic to reconnect the bucket safety switch? If so, please let me know.

The unit is icing up
Frequently the problem here is simply that the air flow is restricted. The solution is to thoroughly clean the hot radiator. It does tend to clog up.
Also it does freeze up if the ambient temperature is not sufficient.

Frigidaire dehumidifier has an error code of EC and does not take in any water. The temp in the basement is a constant 68 degrees.

* The humidifier will only run if the "Humidity" (water or moisture in the air) is higher than the current setting on the humidifier. If it's set to maximum dry setting then expect it to run almost 100% of the time. If it is set to a "wet" setting then expect it run only for short periods.
* Colder room temperatures will reduce the frequency of cycles as cold air will hold less moisture than warm air.
* You may note that running a AC unit in the same room as the dehumidifier will give you mixed results as both units will "fight" or work against each other. Humidifier will heat the air as it exits while the AC will cool the air. Best to not run the AC while the dehumidifier is in operation.
* Note that AC do "dehumidify" the air as it passes through. But not as effective as a dedicated dehumidifier.
* Be sure to check the tub and filter (make sure they are seated properly.)
* Contact Frigidaire or your local Appliance store for service.
