My remote won't power on and won't turn up the
You need to test your remote separately. The easiest way to do this is, get a video camera either a mobile camera or a separate VGA/Mega camera.
Switch on / activate it and put the remote control in the camera so that you can view the front lens of remote in the camera. Now push each button one by one and you must have to see a light emitted from that sensor (IR LED). If all button emit light as you see with your camera then its a proof, the remote is OK.
Hope you understood what i tried.
Don't hesitate to ask further, if required.
good luck
My 15 yr old panasonic tv turns itself on and off,
My thoughts is that after all these years one of the solder joints has cracked and there is enough current that builds up that it will jump accross the crack and work for a short time and then the componenet heats back up and 'well' off it goes.
15 years old. - you got some great use out of this TV.
Maybe time to look to get a new one - These types of TV's were only designed to work for 10 year and then throw them away. Be aware that the new ones are only made to last 3 to 4 years. I know - I don't like it either. They cost a lot more than that Panasonic did when it was new.

Hi there, my new 60
try relocating it to a different power source. like a different room. problem could be small drop in 110 voltage. like when your refrigerator comes on or your air conditioner comes on. they could be on the same 110 line. there is a circuit that senses incoming voltage. if voltage drops too much too quick, the protection circuit shuts tv off. to protect. could be down the street from you. your set is fine

The problem is in either the pip module or the comb filter module and the repair shop should be able to bypass this module - I charge between 180-240 depending on where the home is.Get an estimate

I have an ATEC 42 lcd tv that wont turn on
Hi, my suggestion would be to at least have it looked at and let the technician explain what happened and how much it will cost to fix .At that point you can make an informed decision as to have it repaired or have it replaced. If you can get it repaired then I am sure it would be less expensive that buying a new T.V.
I have a Atec 42
Hello david_barber,
This sounds as if it could be a problem in the power supply section of this TV. Usually LCD TVs have problems with capacitors drying up and causing this type of issue. You can check this by opening the back of the TV and seeing if you can see any of the capacitors (can like components) that look bloated and or puffy (this is a sign that the
capacitor was stressed for a period of time. Now as far as replacing the capacitors or even the board, I would suggest that this be done by a qualified TV Technician, due to the fact that there are procedures involved in the removal and
replacement of parts that the technician would know of.
I hope this helps,
Thank you,

Mitsubishi cs-26ex1
This sound like the standard Mitshubisi PIP board problem. There are two ways to adress this one is to repair the board, this involves replacing surface mounted capacitor and is about %80.00 sucsessful. The other is to simply bypass this board. this option is the way to go, it involves installing two capacitor on the main board and fixes the main pix but kills the Picture in Picture (PIP) I will send off both these repairs to your E-mail
