Canon PowerShot SX210 IS Digital Camera Questions & Answers
Flash not working
First you should check for physical damage from being dropped, etc. Does the flash pop up and latch back in place as it should? If the camera body and flash mechanism appear to be undamaged, you should check your batteries. Replace all the batteries with brand new of the same type. Don't mix alkaline batteries with rechargeable ones - EVER.
Good luck!
Update firmware
There is no update for this camera available, so I wonder why you are asking for an update. If you registered your camera, Canon will report, when an update is available, as soon they have one.
Code error 19 when i connect my camera
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as
Picasa.
My cam says "memory card
Hi,
If the camera displays Memory card error or No Memory Card when a memory card is inserted or any of the above error messages, make sure that the card is inserted properly. If this is the case, you may wish to Format the memory card in the camera using the Setup Menu option [Format] as shown below. Please be aware that formatting the memory card will remove any images currently stored on the card along with any other data. This can also be caused when images shot with another camera are stored on the memory card.
If after formatting the card in the camera the error persists, try another memory card. If this occurs with only the one card it is likely that the memory card is defective, if the error persists over more than one card the camera may require service. If the card appears to be defective you may wish to contact the memory card manufacturer.
Thank you!!

Mine was returned to repair 5 weeks after purchase due to a black spot in every picture. It was not the LCD but the lens or de CCD. The whole lens was changed. Try first to update software or restart
Memory card error
There are several possible causes for "memory card locked", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common cause is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position. The second most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. There are also other common causes if the above didn't help, with troubleshooting steps for this problem
listed here.
Replace piece of my canon camera. My camera has
If it still takes pictures, I wouldn't bother replacing anything. I assume the scratched part is not the lens. Sending it to Canon to replace those outside parts may cost more than a new camera. Doing it yourself may make things worse.
