try the bypass tray sir.there it is easy to load different kind of papers

if you work for a company it may be set to only allow certian users to print in color you will need to check with the person in charge if not then you need to go into the printer properties and change it so you can print in color also you can log in on the copier as admin and change it so it prints in color you will need to select auto color

Hi one thing you could try is to update the firmware to the most up to date level also check there is some times special firmware to fix issues similar to this if not you will need to change the print head

Machine need an special firmware version for that you will need a technician !!! The easy way for an temporary adjust it is to turn machine OFF and ON but the code may appear again.

this is a print head error.it can be reset but it may accure on the model.do to faulty print head .company have come up with a modifications the first one was by software pach.and if that does not help you will need to replace all print head and that job has to be done by a techician.
meanwhile to reset temparerally do the following turn off the machine from the main swich not the contrl panel one
and power on while holding down Utility/counter botton
do not let go untel you are prompt it by a message ..Trouble Reset. than let go of the botton and press on message and should say ok than turn off the machine wait 20sec and turn back on

You should start by telling us what the code is. Should be a letter followed by 4 numbers.

The p error codes you have are due to the test pattern being put on to the transfer belt to check the image density control
The first thig to do is to check and see the condition of the transfer belt and if it has reached life or looks bad replace it also on taking out the transfer belt directly where it goes in there is a cover slide the cover and clean out the idc sensors imgae density control sensors
Also there is firmware to correct the issue do this last the above will get rid of your issuesAlso add toner to all the units manually add the toner as well

Hi this issue may be casued because when you replace the toner and imaging unit they must be new and not taken from another machine i am sure if you put a new out of the box toner and drum unit out of box it will work

try turning the motor that controls the gears you say are not moving to see if they are being turned by the motor

C4154 means that the Black Polygon Mirror Motor is not rotating or spinning as it should.
You can try turning the machine off and on to reset the code and see if it comes back. If so then you will need a service tech to come out and service it. The Polygon Mirrir Motor is a spinning mirror that the laser is bounced off of and is used to write the image to the drum unit.
Here is the info direct from the service manual:

C4154:The polygon motor fails to turn stably even

after the lapse of a given period of time after

activating the polygon motor.

• Motor lock signal detects HIGH for a given

period time consecutively during the polygon
motor is rotating

in order to change the default tray you can from your computer in the web address area type in the ip address only of the machine it will bring up a picture of the copier you can go to admin and normally the password is admin or 0000000 8 zeros and you can make all the changes you need to like selecting what tray to use for printing ect
from the control panel you can press utility counter key then stop 00 stop 0 1 this takes you into the tech rep mode you can make changes here

pull out the tray as far as it goes on the left and right side thyou may see on the machine side a small metal plate with a screw this is the sam on both sides remove the two small plates and the tray should come out

There is a problem with the start of scan position this can be fixed with firmware

it depends on the percentage of the coverage on the paper about 4 to 6 percent coverage can do a few copies several hundred but it is not a good idea to do this as if you run it till it stops you can end up twith a lot of copy quality issues. when it says replace consumables this must be done you are not loosing what the machine is telleing you is that there is no more toner in the box now the remaining toner in the developer unit is getting low or the drums need replacing you can replace the chip on the drums but there is no gurantee that you will get other issues later

if your machine is working fine don't worry about it but they did come out with new style of print heads that will fix copy quality issues if im not mistaken

you can try running gradation to reset the imaging. Also try an internal test print.. 1) utility 2)user setting 3)printer setting 4)print reports 5)demo
you can use this to compare prints to test if its a driver issue.
