Samsung DMR78 dishwasher makes a grinding noise at

Check the brackets that hold the top rack for any broken plastic brackets. My dishwasher was making the same noise and after noticing the broken plastic pieces I pulled out the dishwasher put it on its side removed a white panel on the bottom that is attached with two screws, removed the drain line and inside there were two plastic tabs from the broken bracket. Once those were removed the grinding noise stopped. The bracket holding the drain hose can be removed with a pair of pliers.

Technician replaced sensor level assembly and main control board but still getting "OE" code. Has anyone encountered something else that may cause the "OE" code?

You're probably going to have to replace that case-brake assembly (sensor level assembly). If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/ronald_e6b9572cebe3ad27

Error code PE on Samsung dishwasher DMR78AHS

I too have the same problem with my dishwasher. Didn't know about the circuit breaker trick. Will give a try. My husband is ready to throw all our Samsung appliances in the trash. We don't recommend them at all. Re-modeled our kitchen 4 years ago and had all new Samsung appliances installed. What a mistake. In the 1st year we had 2 service calls on the dishwasher, 2 on the stove and 1 on the refrigerator. Have had many problems with the dishwasher. Have been in touch with the company but their approach is you bought it your stuck with it. Thanks for the trick to fix PE error code. I'm NOT getting it fixed. I'll use it till I can't use it anymore then go buy something else.

Dropping door on a samsung dishwasher

You've got a broken rope link (the rope that connects the spring to the door, or it may have popped off the guiding pulley. If you can pull the dishwasher out about 6 inches, you should be able to see what is the matter and possibly fix it yourself. Why samsung dishwasher won't drain

Most common problem is a clogged drain hose (or a new garbage disposal that was installed without the drain plugged being knocked out). Next most common cause is something hard getting caught in the drain pump, clogging the impeller. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/ronald_e6b9572cebe3ad27

DISHWASHER DRAINS WHILE DOOR IS OPEN. HEAVY LIGHT IS ON BUT NO WATER

Apparently you have water down in the flood area of the dishwasher, where the leak detector is located. Pull the dishwasher out and remove the right-side panel. Pull the insulation up, and look inside with a bright flashlight. The leak detector is located on that side. Depending on the model, you may have to move the motor capacitor out of the way, or move the controller out of the way to be able to get to that area to dry up the water. But the question is, "Where did the water come from?" You may have a bad (leaky) main pump, a bad drain pump, or a crack or hole in one of the hoses (the drain hose is the most common). My diswasher arms are getting some water but not enough to get them spinning?

Check each arm's holes. Lack of water can come from clogged or restricted holes in the arms. If the arms can be removed, check to see if obstruction inside the arms is present. If you find obstruction, you want to remove it and also try to figure out where it comes from so it does not just clog up again. If you can remove the arms, close the door and run the dishwasher long enough to hear whether water is gushing as it should or if there is very little water movement noise. Also make sure the machine actually fills properly to insure that the water line is not kinked. Chances are that the pump could be bad. Search for a new pump on e-bay (where I found mine the cheapest) or do a google search for the part. Pumps are relatively quick to change out. Worst case scenario is that you have a problem with the circuit board and it is cutting off the pump.

How do I fix -no power issue on my samsung dmr78ahs dishwasher?

To eliminate a dishwasher problem, run a heavy 3 pronged extension cord from a known working outlet to the dishwasher and plug the dishwasher into the cord. If you still have no power (dishwasher is not showing any signs of life) then it is a dishwasher problem (circuit board, bad connection from dishwasher cord to dishwasher, etc). If the dishwasher actually shows signs of life, then you may have a tripped breaker. Check the breaker to make sure it is on and that the tab is not either in the center or the off position. Also, try moving the dishwasher cord's plug from the outlet it is currently in to another outlet in the under sink area. There is a chance that the plug got switched from the normal outlet to the outlet that controls the garbage disposal, that outlet should only be hot when the disposal wall switch is flipped to the on position.

Error code He

he error code is a heating error. check the wire connections to the heater, if no problem then you need to check for continuity to the heating element. You'll need a meter to do this. The heater assembly may need replacing. I think they run around $60. We had a Samsung DW for 4 years...finally gave up & replaced with a GE which has been working well.

Whey does my samsung dishwasher smell?

We had a Samsung dishwasher for 4 years which I finally replaced with a GE. Always had a problem with a smell. I believe it's because Samsung dw's do not drain properly. I took the filter assembly apart several times (at the bottom of the unit) and cleaned it (was always full of greasy black gunk). This would help temporarily. I will never again buy a Samsung dishwasher (or refrigerator).

What is a 5e code on the Samsung dishwasher mean ?

According to Samsung it is a drain error. Best advice from Samsung is: Check whether the drain hose is clogged or folded. If the problem continues, close the water supply valve, and then contact an authorized Samsung service center. My drain hose was not clogged or folded and the error code would go away at best for a day of so. Finally, it would not go away at all. My solution was to simply go to e-bay and for $27 had a new pump shipped to me. Less than 15 minutes to change out and no problem since. Be aware that the new pump may make noise for the first few runs, but this goes away. I figure the pump just needed to run in for a bit. Pump is on bottom. Remove and invert dishwasher. Remove screws holding bottom plastic cover and pump is right there. Unhook the wire harness to the sensor in the plastic cover. Remove the wires to the pump (two different wires, I would make a note of where each color went). Turn the pump about a quarter turn to the left and it comes right off. Put the new pump in the same position as the pump was when removed. Push in and turn to the right until it locks in place. Replace wires to pump and the plastic cover. Screw plastic cover in place, turn the dishwasher back upright and reinstall. Once in place and all plumbing and electrical connections reconnected it should work without a hitch.

I would never in my life buy a Samsung dishwasher again. only three years old and PE error code comes back after having service tech out 6 times to replace parts weve been without a dishwasher for 6 m

We have had constant problems also...even went as far as taking the dishwasher apart. Did somewhat fix one problem by removing a piece of plastic that had gotten into the water pump. It still wasn't "right" so we talked with Lowe's about our problems and they finally agreed to sell us another dishwasher at a greatly discounted price and offered free installation. It was installed yesterday. It's a GE, not as "pretty" as the Samsung but hopefully it will actually wash the dishes.
