This is generaly a 4 digit code that one would put i during set up.
most people don't use that option and most of the time (if it hasn't been used) it's 0000.
if that doesn't work, you may have to go back to where you bought it or contact the manufacturer

You have a bad capacitor in the power supply. If you can remove the back cover, you may see a bulged capacitor or two. Replace these and your TV will come back to life. I'm sorry, I do not have capacitor values and locations at this moment. But, the fix should be fairly simple. If you have some elctronic experience, you can fix this. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

NO POWER ON

Hi ,

Here are some DIY steps that may help you fixing the problem.

I'm assuming that your unit is dead set without an standby LED light and your outlet is live.1.Power cord - check the cord it might be opened (no continuity). This is due to frequent bending, pulling. 2. Power switch - check for dry joints, open contact. 3.Check the internal fuse- sometimes the fuse fail because of the power surge, replacing with new one will cure the problem, If this is the case I've advice you to use surge protector/AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator). However if the fuse blew again this is an indication that you have a shorted parts on the power supply, you may visit the link http://www.fixya.com/support/r8053361-fuse_keeps_blowing for more info. If no reaction and still the unit didn't power up then you have an open parts on the power supply.

4.If you see that the fuse is intact on the board, don't attempt to touch anything because there somefatal components stored electricity enough to hurt you with a simple mistake only.

The next steps should be done by an expert or qualified technician because isolating the problem on the power supply is quite technical.

You can also look for availability of power supply at .ebay.com and shopjimmy.com if you want to replace the entire unit.

Also check if your unit is under warranty before opening the back panel, it will void the warranty. Avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free or a little charge only.

Give a thumbs up if you find it useful.

Thanks for using fixya.

Trying to use my Magnavox 15MF400T/37 as a monitor with a VGA cable, but I am having trouble finding the PC input option. Input options ar AV/TV/S-Video.

it does not have one. You cannot directly connect VGA to composite or svideo since they are two completely different and incompatible signals. However, you can use a converter like PID# 4724 or 4722 to actively convert between these types of signals. google s video to VGA apater

My Magnavox Smart tv comes on but then sticks on one channel and it won't do anything.

Try pressing the Source button on the Remote and run through all the Input options. You can also try a full Power reset. Disconnect the power to everything for 5 minutes including the router. Plug back in, wait 10 minutes. Switch television on and try again. ..
