External drive reads G:/not accesible file

From your description it appears that your drive is failing. You can check if there are problems with the drive using the free trial version of http://www.hdtune.com/

If it checks out ok then you can try to recover your data with Recuva it's free http://www.piriform.com/recuva

Or if you need data recovery help this a good choice for low cost and fast data recovery. All data recovery work is performed remotely over the Internet from a boot cd that you download and the best part is they just ask for donations: http://FreeDataRecovery.us

Sound like your USB hdd going to fails. Common problem causing this issue is not enough power for external HDDs. If you already attached one USB cable then you should try to use 'Y' USB cable, to give the device more power.

When the flash memoryUSB hard drive device appears to malfunction it maybe possible to restoreit by reformatting it using a computer with Windows OS. Insert the flash or USB hard drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - AdministrativeTools - Computer Management - Disk Management. Then right click on Disk 1removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted itwill indicate that it is Healthy. You need to format the flash or external drive. Format thedrive as primary drive and in FAT32. (FAT32 will allow data to be exchangedbetween MACs and PCs also between XP/Vista and earlier versions of Windows).

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts also

I have just copied data

You really can't purchase a USB 3.0 port for you computer, I know for a fact that the G60 doesn't have an expansion port that would allow such a device.
I don't understand the prompt either, to be completely honest.
If you're asking if its prompts you to format the drive, and asks are you sure, that's a good feature.
But, other than that, reply with a little more detail and I'll be glad to go more in depth with you.

I have transcend 320 gB

Try checking your connections. Make sure the usb cable is firmly in the hard drive as well as the pc. Unplug the hard drive, restart the computer and plug it back in. If that does not work I would suggest trying some sort of file recovery/back up software and then calling in the warranty.

When I connect my transcend

This could be a couple things since it's an external HDD. Here's what I would try:
  1. Try another port
  2. Try another cable
  3. Remove the drive from the external case and plug it in to the MAC directly if possible. If not possible, get another external case for it (they're not expensive these days)
  4. If you still do not get the drive to come up after that, then you might want to give SpinRite a try. http://www.grc.com - it costs $89, but it is a tool everyone should have around in my opinion.

Keep in mind that new drives are cheap. a 2 TB hdd will run you about as much as SpinRite. But getting a new drive will NOT recover your data of course. So if that data is important to you, see if you can recover it with SpinRite, the team over at GRC is awesome when it comes to support as well.

Hi, I am encountering problems on my storejet

Must operate VERY CAREFUL! Open the cover, take out the HDD, take out the board where the hard is connected to. Check the board crefully if there are unsoldered components and pins, maybe there is burned some elements. Then, dismount the screws from the hard disk, take off the board and clean the contact pads only on the board with a piece of office rubber. Put the board back, and mount all. Check again connecting at the PC.

Hai i have transcand stor get 320GB hard disk. my

If the computer is prompting that the drive needs to be formatted, this means either the drive has become currupt (not likely) or that the drive hasn't been formatted or is an unrecognised format

if the hard drive was formatted on a Mac or Linux machine without choose Fat32 format, the drive will be prompted to be formatted under a windows machine

if there is no information on that drive, i'd suggest just formatting it

remember formatting a hard drive removes all information off that hard drive.
