My pc wont detect my seagate external drive. It

The light is the power status light, if it doesn't lights up fully it means that the power circuits inside the drive are incapable of delivering the power to the hard disk because either they have been fried or the USB circuits inside the pc have failed. Simple test to determine which: plug the drive in another pc - if it behaves the same then i'm sorry to tell you but your hard drive has failed - hardware defect.
This cannot be repaired, you will have to replace it .

My Freeagent Go 320gb parameter

Hi welcome to FixYa!

Fortunately I also owned a Seagate Freeagent Go 320GB just like you have. Can you be more specific detailing your error? I don't understand what do you mean by "parameter is in correct".

I hope this information will be helpful. Thank you for using FixYa!

The parameter is incorrect

which format fat32 or ntfs
make sure its fat32
Indeed, FAT32 only supports files up to 4 GB. I ran into the same problem when copying an ~4.5 GB file to an 8 GB flash drive.
There is a quicker solution that doesn't require you to reformat or lose data on the drive, using the command-line "convert" command. Suppose the flash drive is mounted to g:\. Open up a command window (start menu -> run -> cmd), and type:
convert G: /FS:NTFS.
Personally, I don't need the "security descriptors" on the flash drive file system, so I use the variant:
convert G: /FS:NTFS /NoSecurity.
The conversion should be very quick, and of course it has the benefit of not needing to move any files off the flash drive (since you don't need to reformat it).

hope this helps
