This problem usually occurs when the bucket is not properly reinstalled in it's holder or the the float valve in the tank is stuck in the UP position, if your unit is so equipped.

In either case, you will have to remove the bucket. Check for the float valve and if yours has one, make sure it moves freely. Then reinstall the bucket, making sure it fits "squarely" into the holder from top to bottom and makes firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch, on the back interior wall of the holder. When the bucket is installed properly, the bottom should not tilt down at all.

Be sure to turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before removing the bucket to check the above.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

I have an SG DEH

Main cause of failure on these was dirty evaporator andcondenser coils. Need to take the cover off and clean them. If the problemexists, then you may replace the condenser. Good Luck.

My dehumitifier run all the time but will not

There are 5 basic, but solvable reason for what you described. Please pay particular attention to numbers 1 & 2.

1. The humidity extraction level is set to HIGH. Lower it to 32-35%. If you do not have an LED
display, set the humidity extraction level on Maximum.

2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Turn unit OFF, & Unplug the
Unit, before removing to inspect & clean it, if necessary. If washed,
allow filter to completely dry before reinstalling. DO NOT operate
the unit without the filter.

3. Obstructed air flow. Maintain a minimum of 12 to 18" of clear air
space around the entire unit.

4. Cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Use warm water & dish washing liquid to clean
the coils. Rinse and wipe dry. Apply a light coating of WD40 to the coils.

5. Ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees.
dehumidifiers do not work well between those temperatures
(Unless, you have a Low Temp Unit). This applies mainly to
where the air temperature at floor level is colder than at shoulder
in basement applications level. Raising the unit up off the floor,
onto a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight
of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will usually resolve this
problem.

If none of the above solves the problem, it may be a case of the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant gas or that the humidity condenser sensor has failed. These things usually occur in units that are 5 years old or older. It's rare in a unit younger than that. But, it can happen.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

How do I remove the cleanable filter? I cannot

The filter is located on the right aside of the unit, behind the louvers on the front. To remove it, look for the finger hole on the side and pull the filter out. You can either vacuum the filter or wash it in tap water. If washed, be sure it's thoroughly dry, before reinserting it into the unit. CAUTION: Never remove the filter with the unit ON.

What setting do you have to have it on for the

The water collection bucket may have a hose tap in it. But, in your case the hose drain connection is on the side of the unit. You have to remove the cover of the hose connection, before you can connect the garden hose. Here's where it gets a little tricky, because the Owners Manual says to leave the bucket in place. However, the Troubleshooting Guide says to remove the bucket, if water is not draining thru the hose. Which to me, makes sense, because the unit can't recognize that the hose is connected, if the bucket is still installed, because it has a safety switch.

Have hose hooked up but

You connected a hose to the hose outlet on the catch tank ... right? The tank will not drain even though there are no kinks in the hose and the end is lower than the tank, right? Did you put a hole in the tank before you attached the hose? I will bet not ... and I will not laff at you ... I did the same.

Put a hole in the tank (where the hose attaches), reattach the hose and all will be well.

Soleus air dehumidifier doesn't collect any water

It works by chilling a set of fins like a freezer. It probably needs gas. Get inside it and feel the evaporator with it running. Keep away from the fan though.

I have a D70E A Soleus Dehumidifier that has begun making a rattling noise.

If it’s the one like move, vibration comes from the pump that takes reservoir water to be evaporated. Mine never seems to shut off and is noisy because there’s no water. And eventually it throws an e4 error saying that some water store is full. I can hear compressor come on nicely and quietly. I’ve cleaned the float switch area that was filthy. I was unable to easily remove and fully clean the inside of the donuts. Perhaps the funk is interfering with the float switch. Next step is to research these float switches for how they work. There in another float switch that is not connected anywhere, nor is there a place that it could connect to.
