Hyundai HYUP12ER Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
My 2006 azera air conditioner
Check the Run Capacitor. it is a silver can with wires hooked to it. if it is swollen or leaking oil it needs to ne replaced. Turn off power before inspecting it.
Can you still re-gas the air conditioning in a 1998 model?
The rumors you've been hearing are about the refrigerant - I'm sure.
R-12 for years and years was the only type of refrigerant used in cars.
Since R-12 is now 'banished' you can no longer re-charge a car's AC using it.
Not to worry - there are plenty of replacement refrigerants out there to take it's place.
Don't worry about the AC in the Hyundai, chances are if the AC works now - you will not have to deal with re-charging it. Just be sure the AC is working properly before you buy the car and try to get some type of warranty, i.e. 30 days or longer on it.
I realize the car is 12 years old - but - sometimes you can get a dealer to warranty the AC for 30 days - maybe even the engine and transmission - if he wants to sell the car bad enough. If he (dealer) is offering a warranty already - just be sure what it covers, i.e. the AC, tranny, engine, etc etc. Sometimes the warranty will cover the engine and transmission but nothing else, including the AC.
Note: cars, especially older ones are known for having small, hard to find leaks - thus requiring them to be re-charged at the beginning of summer.
If I was buying a 12 year old car these days, and the AC worked fine at purchase - I would understand three (3) things.
Number 1 - the car AC might have a leak in it and the car dealer 'might' have just re-charged it "without" repairing the leak - thus - transferring the problem to me (the new owner).
Number 2 - the car AC might have a 'slow leak' and at some point in the future - i.e. beginning of summer - it might need a re-charge.
Number 3 - the car AC might still be in great working condition and have no leaks - and everything will be fine.
Bottom line - If you do require a re-charge - a qualified AC shop will be able to re-charge the AC for you.
good luck!
E6 fault code Hyundai air conditioner
The E6 error code on a Hyundai air conditioner typically indicates a problem with the indoor unit's evaporator temperature sensor. This sensor measures the temperature of the evaporator and sends a signal to the air conditioner's control board. If the sensor is not working properly, it can cause the air conditioner to shut down and display the E6 error code.
To fix this issue, you may want to try the following:
- Check the sensor wiring and connections to ensure they are secure and not damaged.
- Test the sensor with a multimeter to check for continuity. If the sensor is not reading correctly, it may need to be replaced.
- Check the air filter and clean or replace it if it is dirty.
- Check the evaporator coil and clean it if it is dirty.
- If the problem persists, it is recommended to consult a professional technician to check the air conditioner, or contact the Hyundai customer service for assistance.
It is important to note that these instructions may vary depending on the air conditioner model, so it is best to consult the user manual for specific instructions.
I have a hyundai curved electric wall hung heater, the living flame stopped working how can i fix please
You will need to assess the problem to determine if it is loss of power (circuit breaker or GFCI or overload tripped on the unit), failure of controls (thermostat or switch), or if the heating element(s) or burned out (open circuit or very high resistance on Ohm meter). Once you have that information you can proceed to purchase the necessary part(s) or reset the tripped power safety -- but if it trips again you need to diagnose why that happened.
