Imt800 power adapter repair
It is not the power adapter that is at fault. It is the soldering on the circuit board underneath the plastic behind the power adapter. I put together an album of pictures detailing what you need to do if you don't want to cut any wires or buy a new coax adapter or disassemble the unit from the front end. There wasn't a detailed guide available anywhere so I hope this helps all of you with your problems.I went into this blindly and have never soldered anything in my life. Repairing the iMT800 was a success and inspired me to continue on my electronics curiosity. All you will need is a soldering iron, solder, dremel, super glue and some type sealant to patch the hole you're going to need to make. Here is the guide:
http://imgur.com/a/qDaw4It functions as normal: charging the phone, plays very loud, etc.For what it's worth: I won't be buying anymore altec lansing products and will share my experience with the customer service department (non-existent) with everyone that notices my new scar on my iMT800.
IMT800 will not work off
Try it with batteries. Likely that this the problem as it has been with all of the IMT 800/810's. It's due to the circuit board and the shoddy workmanship that Altec Lansing performed when manufacturing these units.
I'm on my second one so feel qualified to make that statement.

Altec Lansing MX6021 Expressionist ULTRA 2.1
The "pluc pluc pluc" noise you're hearing from your Altec Lansing MX6021 Expressionist ULTRA 2.1 speakers could be a sign of a few different issues. Here are a few things you can try:
- Check the cables: Make sure all cables are connected properly and there are no loose connections. Try using a different cable to see if that solves the problem.
- Check the power supply: Ensure that the power supply is plugged in and working properly. Try using a different power outlet or power supply to see if that solves the problem.
- Check the volume: Make sure that the volume on your device is turned up and the speakers are not on mute.
- Try a different device: Connect the speakers to a different device to see if the issue is with your laptop or the speakers.
- Check for software updates: Visit the Altec Lansing website to see if there are any software updates or firmware updates available for your speakers.
If none of these solutions work, it may be time to consider contacting Altec Lansing customer support or a professional audio technician for further assistance.
