I think they are, but you should read the reviews and I don't see where a flash light app should ever need to know your location unless same app has compass built in. I have used Flashlight-x for a couple of years now with no problems. hope this helps

there are many ways to do it. i suggest plugging your phone into your computer with a usb cable and it'll show up on your computer. you could also put your microsd into an SD adapter then putting that into your computer.

Try to restart phone pressing HOME and POWER buttons together, regardless of its state.
