The reset is done by pressing and holding the On/Off button until you hear the drum sounds and the device restarts. This can take 30 seconds or more.

First, check and make sure your battery is fully charged. Then try to do a "Reset" .... by pressing and holding down the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds (or a lot more) until the device powers on again. Yes, at times, it may take a minute or more ! of holding that button down.

1. From the Main menu, tap Navigate to...
2. Tap Latitude Longitude.
3. Enter the coordinates and tap OK.

There is an intermittent server issue that is causing an Error 1502 on some LIVE devices, temporarily preventing access to TomTom LIVE Services.

We are aware of this and investigating with high priority.

I had a similar issue, I just used an old PAYG SIM and swapped it to fix the problem. The cover is held on by 4 screws, once open the old SIM card pulls-out without any further dismantling. You still need to subscribe to get live services though.

This is normal, this come straight of the satellite. To speed up process or bypass, reboot system. To Manually reboot this model, turn unit off like normal. Then when turning on, keep button down as it fires up, DO NOT release on button, keep it down until all fires up and even about 10 seconds passed, then let go. Click the screen to access main menu this should bring up the ability to click change preferences and then in that menu you should be able to scroll through and find the option to change from feet and inches to metric.
